The Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School
A very warm welcome to our website on behalf of the children, staff and Governors of The Holy Spirit. The photograph you see above was taken spontaneously by a teacher on a residential. It shows children supporting another child to get to to the top of a mountain in the Lake District. They were finding things hard but pushed on and surprised themselves.

I think it sums up the school spirit and ethos quite well! It is one of the many successes we see each year. I hope that the range of information contained on this site provides you with a good understanding of our school. We hope to keep udating and adding to it regularly. We are proud of our reputation of being a caring school and being able to support our pupils academically, emotionally, spiritually, morally, socially and culturally.
Services
At The Holy Spirit, we want our chidlren to gain a coherent understanding of past and present events in British and World History. We aim to develop children's critical thinking and enquiry skills, using sources of evidence to help them form an inteligent point of view on relevant topics.

Chidlren should gain an understanding of how people's lives have changed throughout the years and become aware of the impact certain historical events have made on our lives today.Spirituality: As a Catholic School we are driven by a spiritually rich curriculum that holds Gospel values at its heart, encompassing the importance of British values and Equality.
The school want to make sure you are always safe and we want you to know there is always someone in school that can help you. You can also report issues to the school anonymously by texting THE27 + your message to 078600 21584. Sharing things that upset you is not always an easy thing to do. SWGfL Whisper is designed to act as another way you can tell a responsible adult at the school about any issues that you or others might be having.
Please also encourage reading daily through Bug Club and Oxford Reading Buddy in order to reduce further gaps in learning. I am so glad to see you all back and ready for a brand new year (and your final year here at The Holy Spirit). I am delighted to watch to grow, learn and enjoy your final year of primary school, and work together with yourself and your families to find success and happiness throughout the year.
In these uncertain times, we are blessed that our families are safe and well. We are reminded everyday that family is what really matters. We are reassured that God is with us and we pray for our loved ones. Please begin your week by starting with a Gospel assembly from our collective worship resources.
Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you've enjoyed the sunshine this weekend and are looking forward to the last week of home-learning :. Please find attached the timetable for this week and the Maths tasks for Y1 on Class Dojo. I'm looking forward to seeing your work uploaded on here but more than anything I'm looking forward to seeing you all back in school next Monday :.
