As the Principal of Duneane, I am delighted to present our school website to you - our pupils, parents, prospective parents and our community. I hope it gives you a flavour of what we stand for at Duneane: a rural yet forward thinking school built on family values, with a strong Christian ethos and broad community links.
Please look through our site to see what we offer our children. We are an evolving school in which all children are visible and supported. We invest great time and resources in developing children for the emerging technological age.

Services
Duneane Primary School is situated outside Toomebridge, County Antrim and was founded in 1890 by John Carey. We aim, through the provision of a broad and balanced curriculum, to empower our children to develop their potential and to be able to make informed and responsible choices. The school is proud of its position within the local community and is always aiming to strengthen its links with local schools, churches and businesses.
Our pre-school Reception class caters for children after their 4th birthday. Our hours are 9-12 and during this time children enjoy a wide variety of learning experiences, all planned around the Northern Ireland Pre-school Curriculum. Pupils also have the option to remain in school over lunchtime, until 12:45 p.m.
We are keen to develop strong home-school links with parents and hold a number of events throughout the school year. These include pupil/parent workshops, drop-in days and a number of events organised by both our PTA and by school. We have an Open Door Policy and parents are welcome to talk to their child's teacher about any concerns that they might have without making an appointment beforehand.
Did you know that whenever you buy anything online - from your weekly shop to your annual holiday - you could be raising free donations for our school with easyfundraising? There are over 4,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation - including eBay, Argos, John Lewis, ASOS, Booking.com and M&S - and it won't cost you a penny extra to help us raise funds.
At Duneane we take the issue of Internet Safety very seriously and on these pages you will find information that will support you as parents/guardians. The internet is a fantastic resource, but it can also bring risks. We work with our pupils in school to help them understand the dangers and learn how to keep themselves safe.
