Parkhall Primary School is a controlled school for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 11 years. The school is situated on a pleasant extensive site off Seacash Drive adjoining the Parkhall Road. The building is divided into two main wings separated by a large multi purpose hall with dining facilities.
Altogether there are four permanent classrooms in the Infant Wing and six in the main building. In addition there is a playroom, computer suite, school library, Barnardos Room / Parents' Room, Special Educational Needs Classroom and multi purpose classroom for small groups. The classrooms are large, bright and airy and display pupils' work throughout the year.

Services
In Year One we enjoy a vast array of activities. The children are continually learning through practical activities and carefully planned play. Life in Year One is very busy with lots of fun and interesting things to do. We learn to read, write and count in exciting and fun ways which the children love.
This year things are slightly different due to the ongoing pandemic. Homework will be sent home on a Monday and be expected back in on a Thursday. This is to allow a period of isolation before handling. Please try to ensure the homework bags are returned on a Thursday or by a Friday at the latest. Monday to Thursday nights the children will have reading.
Although this year has been a little different to the school that we have been used to, we haven't let things get in the way of our learning and fun. We enjoyed being back together in our class bubble and have been extremely busy. This year Key Stage 2 were studying France. We came to school dressed in the colours of the french flag, tried some french foods and researched facts about France.
This is a great way to keep up-to-date with everything we are doing in class and all the exciting things coming up throughout the year. We are using Scratch to design and create games with our partners in Round Tower Integrated. Learning your spellings is very important - use our app as part of your nightly revision to improve your spelling ability.
