We are located in a single-storey building, with pleasant grounds and a secure astro-turf ball cage for the children to use at play times. We also have a planting area in which the children love to grow vegetables, fruit as well as flowers. We are also very lucky to be sited backing on to the Stave Hill Eco-Park, an area which we use as an additional resource for class based activities.
St John's Catholic Primary School is a one form entry school, plus Nursery Class in Rotherhithe. St John's became the first Catholic school to have been built in the area of Rotherhithe following the redevelopment of Surrey Docks by the London Dockland Development Corporation. The school serves the Parish of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, with the Parish Church being directly opposite the school on the same site.
St. John's Catholic School is a one form entry Catholic Primary School that seeks to promote a distinctive contribution to every child's education, by offering a warm and caring environment for all children in our school. The importance of the home and school partnership is central to our work here.
St. John's Catholic School is committed to providing a warm and welcome environment where its pupil's can receive an excellent Catholic Education which both reflects the Gospel Values of Jesus Christ and supports Parents in their role as first educators of their children in the ways of Faith, Attitudes and Values.
We look forward to welcoming our new families to the Nursery Class at St. John's Catholic School. Our Nursery teacher is Miss Annie Childs. As we are unable to invite you into school we have made this video to introduce you and your child to Miss Childs. The staff ignore the issue of bullying here. Yes, the teachers may tell the kids to stop being rude, but what stops them from them doing it tomorrow? This school educates bullies. One boy was picked on so much, everyday was another day of taunting, misery, and hopelessness. Only recommended for those who aren't afraid of marginalization.
