Hello, and thank you for your interest in our wonderful Nursery School. Our purpose built building offers space for our children to explore and includes open access to a large and exciting garden, which allows our children to have a free flow experience. Being a Maintained Nursery School we have the same statutory obligation as any other school, including having a Head teacher, teacher, and a Governing Body.

What does this mean for you as a parent and for your child? It means that your child has access to highly qualified practitioners committed to not only ensuring your child thrives with their learning, but also their personal development. Staff & Governors Report

Beccy is the proud headteacher at Wallace Road. She has been in education since 2001 and taught in nursery and primary. Beccy has always felt that early years is where she belongs, not only because she can let her inner child out, but mainly because she gets to work with the youngest minds and help them to have a life-long love of learning.

FAQ’s Report

No, all children develop at differently and at varying rates. We do not expect children to be toilet trained. Whatever stage of toileting your child is at, we will work in partnership with you to support your child's needs. We celebrate the fact that our families speak many different languages. The best way to help your child is to build confidence in their home language.

Great nursery! Loving and caring staff that cope very well with so many young ones and do a fab job in teaching creative songs and learning through play. They are a well organized team and support parents and children alike. Lovely school grounds and equipment inside and out. They supply an abundance of varying activities for child developement on a weekly basis. My daughter has loved every day spent there.

Today, with my business Immersive Theatres, I delivered a 4m digital planetarium experience to 90 Nursery children aged 2-4 at Wallace Road Nursery School. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and found the room prepared just as I had requested. The day was well organised with all groups arriving on time. The excited children enjoyed a rich selection of content: peering up at the planetarium night sky, visiting the International Space Station, identifying space shapes, handling a meteorite and travelling both below and above ground with Plato the Mole. Excellent nursery run by some brilliant staff. Many more activities here than I've seen at other nurseries, lots of equipment in the garden for the children to play on, my daughter still talks about this place regularly, she loved it that much. Would recommend to any parent.
