St Mary's C E Primary School
Check out the Haringey website dedicated to Black History in Haringey which is host to a huge range of information, history, quizzes, and many events for the family over half term and beyond. If you do this and have collected your bronze, silver and gold badges, you will be awarded with a special enamel pin and a certificate at the end of the year!.

There are story books, poetry books, funny and sad books, adventure and mystery books too. We have two copies of every book on the list in school and plan to purchase more when possible. If you buy the books and, once they have been read, would like to donate them to the school, we have made some special stickers to go into the front of that book.
Services
We are a Church of England School which has served the community since 1863. We are based over two sites. Church Lane site is home to our Lower Phase which is comprised of Nursery, Reception and Years One and Two and the children here range from 3 to 7 years of age. Our Middle Phase (Years Three and Four) and our Upper Phase (Years Five and Six) are based at our Rectory Gardens site.
At Hornsey Parish Church, we consider St Mary's School to be at the heart of our church community. Our team comprises Fr Bruce the Parish Priest, Mthr Anna our Curate, Naomi our Lay Schools' Worker, Nina our Christian Youth Worker and David our Pastoral Assistant.

We are all frequently present on the two school sites and are involved in the School Council, running church Lunch Clubs and Friendship Groups, leading the Big Six, drinking coffee in the Staff Room, and on the gate sometimes too.We lead assemblies as part of an ecumenical team with the Revd Gavin Childress, a local Baptist Minister, and several members of Hornsey Parish play a major part in the governance of the school.
We have recently undertaken an exercise with pupils, staff and governors to reinvigorate and renew the vision of the school and identify the Christian characteristics most important to us all. From these we have developed a new Ethos Statement for our school and what it means to be a child at St Mary's.
If you would like to know how we have progressed since these Inspections, or find out more about what we are doing, we would be very happy to meet with you show you around our fantastic school, talk though our successes, challenges and plans for now, and the future. Give your views' to say 'Ofsted Parent View - give your views using this online survey that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child's school.
We are pleased to announce that Nyella and Shyne have been nominated as Head Girl and Head Boy for 2020-2021. Congratulations to you both on being chosen to be role models to all children in the school and lead St Mary's through another successful year. The House Captains for this year have been announced.
