A school where everyone is welcomed, efforts are valued, ambition is nurtured and where the potential of every child is realised. Rosendale is an outstanding Primary school with our own Children's Centre for babies and toddlers from 6 months, and a Nursery for children from aged 3. We are part of the Great North Wood Education Trust and benefit from the wealth of expertise, resources and support this provides.

We are a school where everyone is welcomed, efforts are valued, ambition is nurtured and where the potential of every child is realised. We are reflective and thoughtful about experiences, learning from our failures so that we are prepared to be better tomorrow;. We encourage co-operation and collaboration, everyone taking responsibility for all that they say and do;.
Here at Rosendale we believe the creative arts expose children to ways of expressing ideas and emotions that they cannot express in language alone. We give the children the opportunity to use as wide a variety of materials and resources as possible including textiles, clay, chalk, ink, oil pastels, watercolour, poster paints, collage, charcoal, printmaking, mixed media and photography.
Forest School is a project to encourage more of us to get involved in outdoor learning, in order to gain a better understanding of nature and ourselves. Did you know that we have a busy gardening team, bug hotels and have provided a home to a family of ducks? Already many of our children and adults are having fun protecting and nurturing wildlife around our school.
There are lots of lists of '100 books you must read before you grow up' - chosen by experts, authors, readers and children themselves. At Rosendale, we have chosen our own 100 classic books, selected by the whole of Rosendale's community: children, staff, parents, grandparents, friends and relations.
