Sunflowers Day Nursery in Pateley Bridge is a nursery where your child can learn and play in a warm, safe and caring environment. We offer a child centered personalized approach to the childcare we provide, and work hard to build special relationships with parents and families to meet the needs of each child.
I strongly believe that once this relationship is built, we can begin to offer a realistic care plan for your child, which grows and develops as both your child's and your family's individual needs change. We are able to offer a varied curriculum, which includes external activities such as swimming, and nursery activities which foster your child's social & emotional, creative, physical, and intellectual development.

Services
We have tried to give you an overview of our Nursery and the various childcare options - we recommend that you speak through this with a member of staff in order to discuss your individual needs - but an overview is detailed below. We work hard to offer flexible childcare at Sunflowers and our fee structure and various attendance options reflect this.
The food we serve each day is home made, with fresh ingredients and where possible, sourced locally. We serve breakfast, healthy snacks, a wholesome two course lunch and a light nutritious tea. All our home baking is free from refined sugars - replacing these with Honey, Dates or Maple syrup as more natural, less intense sweeteners.
As you would expect - we have a level '5' food hygiene rating in our Nursery Kitchen for the way we prepare your child's food, the training and on-going monitoring of the way our staff provide your child's food and the way it is cooked and stored. At Sunflowers, we see you as your child's primary educator - we know that they love you, watch you, listen to you and the joy that we see each day, bubbles from a place within them that you nurture and are responsible for! We want to work with you - we want to know what you are proud of, what you enjoy, we want to share the special moments each day and incorporate any new interests into your child's day at nursery.
Making the decision to use a day nursery for the care of your child is a big decision to make. Once you feel that you would like to go ahead with a space at Sunflowers, we aim to make it as easy as possible for you. After your initial visit to the nursery, we organise some free trial sessions for you and your child to experience nursery life.
