Harcourt day nursery has been open since 1987 and is located close to the town centre of Harrogate. Catering for children from 3 months to 5 years of age, we aim to provide the best possible care and education for your children to reach their individual goals. Each section has its own space and the activities are planned for the needs of the children in each group.
We introduce appropriate toys, books and games reflecting positive images and cultures in order to encourage equal development and equality. We want you to feel relaxed, free from worry and be confident your child is being cared for by qualified, experienced staff who will do all they can to ensure your child feels safe and secure in our care.

Huge thanks to you all for looking after our son and giving him such a great time at nursery. Thank you for all the care and attention you have given our daughter especially while she was settling into nursery. Our Babies benefit from their own outdoor balcony area which is connected to the Baby Room, they also have access to a Sensory Room and have a separate Cot Room for sleeping. The Baby Room has age appropriate toys and at mealtimes there are different ways for the Babies to feed - either in rockers or sat on chairs at a mini table - dependant on the individual needs of your baby.
Tweenies have access to both outdoor play areas as well as the Sensory Room and they also have a seperate cot room for sleeping. The room has age appropriate toys, games and books. Our aim is to help develop your child through play so creative work and messy play are encouraged in Tweenies. The ratio* in the Tweenie room is 1 staff member to every 3 children.
Our Menu's work on a 5 week rota to ensure the children don't get bored with the same meal week after week, the most popular meals may appear twice within the 5 weeks but on different days so again giving variety. All our food is freshly cooked each day in our nursery kitchen and the meals are made with only good quality ingredients.
