The highly qualified and dedicated staff team are a bunch of girls who have been providing local families with a tip top service for just over 25 years. The nursery is owned and run by Julie Addyman and Carolyn Swales BAHon EYP who are on the shop floor everyday working directly with the staff team, children and families.
Children aged from 0 - 11 years old attend a minimum of three days a week from 7.30 - 6pm Monday to Friday. Free Play System - Six themed classroom areas of play - no age segregation or trapped in one room all day. You are welcome to visit at any time without making an appointment, take us as you find us, mid morning or mid afternoon.

Services
The children are not aged segregated, we mingle and mix creating a more homely environment with a family feel. This 'Free Play System' means that our children are not stuck in the same room all day, every day. They access six themed areas of play choosing where they would like to spend their day, making decisions and choices about their development and the new skills they want to learn.
But just like the rest of our children the babies do not spend all day cooped up in one room. They venture out into the other play areas to see what's what, visiting siblings and engaging with older children and members of our family. Big brothers and sisters can visit their baby during the day, checking to see if everything is ok, just like they would at home.
Once our children are ready to go to school we really hate saying 'goodbye' so we offer a before and after school service to children who attend Aspin Park School. Children arrive from 7.30am and the walking bus takes them at 8.30am and collects at 3.10pm Monday to Friday. There are a variety of morning activities on offer and the outdoor area is also available.
We were absolutely amazed to win this award last November. The general public voted for their favourite nursery, we were up against some tough opposition and being one of the smallest settings didn't expect to win, so couldn't believe it when the winners 'nippers Nursery' were announced. We attended the dinner dance as a staff team so you can imagine the reaction, table tipped and tears!

Nippers has been part of our family for the last 5 years and we can not recommend them highly enough. Last September our son started school so prepared, confident and independent which is thanks to the amazing support from Nippers. Our 2.5 year old daughter has just returned for the first time since childcare settings shut for non key workers. The… information and support we have been given throughout as well as them staying open for key workers (which many nurseries were not) has been fantastic. The work that has now been done to provide the kids with a safe but still very happy and normal

My son has attended Nippers for two years and absolutely loves it. He joined in the baby room at 11months settling very quickly into his new routine. He has progressed happily through and his day is jam packed full with a wide range of fun activities. I particularly love the variety of rooms to play in, the dance studio and wet room are favorites. Nippers have a great outside play area with children playing out all year round. My son has a great group of friends and is extremely happy at Nippers we could not have wished for a more caring, educational and fun nursery for him to attend.

My children attend Nippers and they absolutely love it. Staff are fantastic, very caring. We moved here from another nursery setting and mine have fitted in very well. I’ve never once worried about them while been at work as know they are very well loved and looked after by staff. Can’t recommend it enough. 😃

Our little girl loves going to Nippers. She has attended since about 8 months and now at 3 she skips happily in. I am confident she is in a safe, happy and loving environment with plenty of activities. I particularly love the outdoor beds for fresh air napping in all weathers. Just a shame she won’t nap anymore!

Nippers Nursery is a fantastic setting. All of the staff are friendly, caring and supportive. My daughter loves going to nursery. They have an amazing outdoor space and all the rooms inside provide a huge variety of resources every day. The meals and snacks they provide are all exceptional. (The apple cake is amazing!)

We love Nippers Nursery and more importantly our Son loves it, he's been going for over a year now. Our son has come on in leaps and bounds they are very creative and are always thinking of new and fun things for them to do! All the staff are friendly and approachable! I would highly recommend Nippers!

Nippers nursery is excellent, two of my grandchildren have attended and our family have been involved with the nursery for the last 8 years. The care has been top class throughout our involvement and never… falls below excellent. The staff go above and beyond and so love their jobs, they follow by the example set by their managers and it shows!! Thank you so much, love you Nippers!

I have been using Nippers nursery for over five years for both of my daughters. The nursery has never faltered in its care of my children and others. It allows the children to explore their independence and their growing world in a unique way. It is one of the most creative and inspiring settings I have seen, and there is always something afoot somewhere, be it a play wedding, building a spiders web, or baking. Which brings me on to the food.... the smells coming from the kitchen are truly wonderful, and most days I want to stay for lunch as I smell it being prepared as I drop off.

Our daughter Jessica started at Nippers when she was 2 years old. She is now nearly 5 and will be starting school in September. Her past 3 years at Nippers have been filled with fun, enjoyment, learning and laughter. As a parent, it means so much to have trust and faith in those who are caring for your most treasured possession. Although Jessica is excited about starting school, I am sure she will miss not being a little Nipper. When we were moving to the area 3.5 years ago we looked around about half a dozen nurseries for our son. When we visited Nippers we just knew it was the one we wanted him to go to and when our second son was born we made sure he had his name down straight away!
Almost all of the staff there now were there when our older son first started at Nippers - they all know us, know both our sons, are kind, helpful and we are always made to feel very welcome.
The children play outside EVERY day - full waterproofs and wellies for splashy days and snow. There always seems to be a choice of messy play, baking

My daughter started at Nippers six months ago, after a year of intensive medical treatment. She settled in immediately and all the staff have been wonderful with her. She was behind on various aspects of her development, but already she is back on track and thriving. I have never seen her so happy and developing so quickly. The nursery managers have been great. They have taken on board any care issues she needs, but in no way treated her differently from all the other happy children at Nippers. They have also taken the time to listen to my concerns and have responded sensitively and intelligently

I love Nippers and more importantly so does Harry. The place is clean and welcoming, the staff are friendly and fantastic at what they do. The activities are second to none and Harry is always well entertained. The food is delicious and sourced locally so you know you're supporting other local business too. All in all you'd be mad not to send your little one to Nippers.
