There is a rich history of Oundle CE Primary School which has always had the Church of England as its foundation. Originally established at St Peter's Church in the 1600s, the school moved to a building at the rear of the Talbot Hotel and was known as a 'National School for the Education of the Poor in the Principles of the Established Church'.
I wish you a very warm welcome to Oundle C of E Primary School's website. It will give you a taster of the school with some interesting photos and information, but nothing beats visiting the building and school community to get a true 'feel' of what Oundle CE Primary is all about. Or you can ask those who know the school in the town and I am sure they will give us the positive review you are looking for.
As a Church of England School, with a heritage stretching back hundreds of years in Oundle, we believe it is crucial for us to have a clear vision for the future which adheres to our Christian ethos and within PDET's Religious Education Policy and worship guidelines. School stakeholders, including teachers and governors, often use terms and abbreviations that might be a little confusing or overwhelming.
The success of our school is due in no small part to the dedication and professionalism of the staff here at Oundle CE Primary School. We are proud of the commitment shown by all our staff both in the classroom and in supporting roles. Any parental concerns about their child's education should be brought to the attention of the class teacher in the first instance.
Our school is an academy, which is part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) which is a multi-academy trust formed by the Peterborough Diocese Board of Education. The remit of The Trust is to oversee a total of 31 academies and whose vision and values is to work together for each child to realise their God-given potential to flourish.
