Established in 1990, we are a registered charity, run by a committee of current and ex-parents and current and ex-members of staff. The Pre-School is Ofsted inspected and is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. We hope for a lot of parental involvement both on the charity committee and in our day to day sessions.
We have at least five regular staff members with up to 30 children each session and welcome parents and volunteers who want to come in and help, learn or play. We hope that you and your children will make new friends and spend many happy hours with us. We are committed to the principles of Learning through Play and we follow the Early Year Foundation Stage as published by the Department of Education.

Services
We believe that children are born ready and programmed to learn given the right support through their environment and the adults around them. Young children learn through play, practicing the skills they will need to be a part of the society in which they live.
We use a system of 'in the moment planning' which allows children the agency to decide what they want to do and use today, with skilled practitioners suggesting possible inspiration, resources, challenges, and support for your child and finding the most appropriate opportunities to teach them. These steps are all done 'in the moment' using our knowledge of the child and taking our ideas from them.

Our breakfast club costs 6.50 and our morning and afternoon sessions cost 15.00 each for 3&4 year olds and 19.50 for 2 year olds. You are welcome to use the 15 hours 2, 3 or 4 year old funding to pay for any five of our sessions (subject to availability). We also accept the additional 15 hours funded childcare for 3 and 4 year old children, up to our maximum opening hours of 27 hours.

Both of our Children went to Clockhouse pre-school and they throroughly enjoyed their time there. We're very sad to leave this summer.
The staff at Clockhouse pre-school have helped our boys to develop in a safe, caring and loving environment. Clockhouse is a pre-school where the children are allowed free flow and encouraged to play, imagine, create, observe, laugh and have fun.
Keep up the hard work!

All 3 of my children have attended Clockhouse Preschool over the past 5 years, and I can highly recommend it. The premises might not look flash, but the staff here provide a wonderful environment for your child to grow and develop in. It is a warm and caring place, where the individual needs of each child are catered for. The staff are very experienced, and have been here for many years, providing continuity and stability for the children. All my children have had a wonderful time at Clock House, and have grown in confidence hugely, preparing them well for starting school.
