The Pulteney Arms
A great real ale drinkers pub, we are in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide again this year and offer guest ales alongside our regular beers. We like you to feel at home at The Pulteney Arms, in winter the log burner is always stoked, in summer the courtyard is a welcome place to sit in the shade under a parasol and watch the world go by.

We are so excited to announce the arrival of our very own gin, tailor made for us by the wonderful Holly of Scout and Sage Micro Distillery, our new gin has been made with a sweet citrus nod to that of prohibition gin drinking times. Our Old Tom Cat Gin has been distilled using traditional methods and holds a wonderful citrusy flavour profile.

We had a large table for a birthday meal and we were upstairs in a lovely private room it was so relaxed. We all had the Christmas menu and every single one of us said how amazing the food was it also came out hot which as a large table is tricky. The service was amazing we always felt cared for and nothing was too much trouble. I've been there a few times now and have always had a lovely meal.

A relaxed atmosphere, great food with no pretensions. Staff efficient and friendly. Warm and cosy with a choice of rooms to sit in. A really lovely pub-dog wandering around (but calm and obedient). My husband enjoyed his beer!

Friendly no-frills backstreet boozer. Good beer on tap (Timothy Taylor's Landlord is especially lovely) and a small, homecooked menu. Not especially smart - it's clearly a local rather than a destination pub - but always busy on match days.

My hubby and I decided to enjoy a short stroll through Henrietta Park, which was very peaceful, and ended up at The Pulteney Arms. It is a lovely traditional pub, which many locals seemed to be frequenting. We… received a warm welcome and decided to order food, to compliment the fine ale on offer! This is a family owned pub and all the family are very passionate about the place. Service was great and so were our steak and chips. We can highly recommend this great pub, in a quiet location, yet just a short stroll from the town.
