Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard, Chair of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges said: It is absolutely right that basic infection prevention and control measures stay in place in healthcare settings. Simple steps such as wearing a face mask and keeping a safe distance away from others are a minor inconvenience but could have a profound positive impact when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable and I strongly support the chief nurse with this clear reminder. The more detail you include the better.
Services
Patients can now also book appointments every weekday evening and on Saturday and Sunday at St Peters Centre. These extended hours sessions are run by the East Lancashire Federation of GPs. Doctors, nurses and nurse practitioners will have access to your records and will feed back to Prestige Medical Group the outcome of your consultation.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Storing information in one place makes it easier for healthcare staff to treat you in an emergency, or when your GP practice is closed. This information could make a difference to how a doctor decides to care for you, for example which medicines they choose to prescribe for you. No, it is not compulsory.
Having an ill child can be a very scary experience for parents. If you understand more about the illness it can help you to feel more in control. This booklet is for parents (and older children) and deals with common infections in children who are normally healthy. There is a good guide on the NHS website which describes various conditions affecting children.
This factsheet is for people who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or who would like information about it. These links all come from trusted resources but if you are unsure about these or any other medical matters please contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Diabetes is a long-term (chronic) condition caused by too much glucose (sugar) in the blood.

I’ve been with this surgery all my life, and in the last few years it has gone downhill. Trying to get an appointment to see a doctor is almost impossible. If you are ill and need a doctor you won’t get one here…
My advice for what it’s worth, is to avoid choosing this surgery if you are looking for one. I will be looking to go elsewhere..

Dr's and nurses I find are are very good, understanding and listen well and provide excellent care and support.
The receptionist staff are beyond rude, vile and one in particular has reduced me to tears before today because she was so nasty. Also rung for an appointment and got told that she couldn't make me one if I wouldn't tell her why I needed one, can I ask, are the receptionist triage trained? Are they using an agreed streaming process? If so then great and well done, however given the conversation I had with the reception team I highly doubt it. She insisted I explained to her what was

Receptionist are rude. Asked for a repeat prescription over the phone was told due to covid dieing down I had go in to order and that's fine. But then I ask to see a doctor was told I could not due to covid. That was a complete contradiction from herself to her above statement. She just kept arguing with me. The receptionist are rude and argumentative.

Its impossible to get an appointment. You have to call in at 8 and wait for ages. Imagine you have work to go to, it's getting ridiculous.

Have been trying all morning to speak to someone for 3 hours now. Says line is busy. The one time it was ringing no one answered. Tried the day before for appointment but was told to phone next day. These guys need to sort out the phone lines.been trying oxford Rd as well same scenario.
Complete joke. I would not recommend anyone to join this practice. Receptionist need to get their attitude sorted as well and telephone manners and how to talk to patients. Very abrupt and rude at times. They also seem to be qualified gmc registered doctors,Not allowing to speak to actual doctors and give their

The level of care I have received from the Dr’s, Nurses and Midwives at Parkside is second to none and has been of a high standard. On the other hand, the receptionists are rude, aggressive and aren’t very helpful. I understand there is sometimes a shortage of appointments but we are all people and there is no need to be as rude as they are. They let the practice down.
