We offer meditation courses which are rooted in the teachings of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, conducted in a spirit of open inquiry and relevant for those of any spiritual tradition or none. Additionally, we also offer a diverse and engaging programme to learn about Buddhism in a way that is both completely authentic and fully meets the needs of men and women in modern times.
Our meditation courses are led by experienced instructors. Through them you can learn authentic meditation techniques that can help bring inner development as well as benefit to others - and without necessarily having to think of yourself as a 'Buddhist'. At the same time, these teachings can be followed as a life long path of study and practice and you can find out more about us here.

Services
We are an independently governed charity run by volunteers who together coordinate the activity of Rigpa Fellowship in the UK, to advance the Buddhist teachings and in particular those of the Nyingmapa school of Tibetan Buddhism. Our activities are centralized in our National office in London, governed by our volunteer Trustees and delivered by experienced volunteers, comprising experienced instructors and practitioners throughout the UK.
Following the publication of a whistleblowing letter, in 2017, which contained serious allegations of abuse and misconduct, we have worked hard, both as a community and as a charity, to put in place the necessary governance and safeguarding reforms to ensure that everyone who comes into contact with Rigpa UK can have confidence that good safeguarding practice is now embedded into our culture.
Meditation can be described as a process of getting to know our own mind, or coming to understand and work with the mind. Although it can be presented as a subject that is vast and extremely profound, the basics of meditation are actually very simple. Anyone can meditate, and you can do it almost anywhere and at any time.
Our courses and programmes are designed to help people meet the challenges of everyday life. We introduce thousands of people every year to simple meditation techniques and methods for training in compassion, which have been developed over centuries and are easy to apply. In addition, we also offer an authentic programme of study and practice in the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition of Tibet.
This five session course takes you on a journey to discover for yourself first-hand, the practice of meditation, as taught in the Buddhist tradition. Filled with clear and simple advice on how to practice and how to develop mindfulness and awareness both 'on the cushion' (or chair) and in daily life, this course will support you in your own personal journey of discovering, establishing and deepening the practice of meditation.

Appalling abuses at this charity
You should google 'sogyal' (the founder of this organisation) before you go here. Or do a search on 'rigpa charity commission.' Two of the Trustees of this charity have been banned from being trustees of any charity.
Amy Spiller, Head of Investigations Team at the Charity Commission, said about Rigpa (registered charity number 279315):
"Serious failings in the leadership of this charity led to people it was supposed to help being harmed and let down. Trustees hold important positions of trust, and are rightly expected to take all appropriate steps to keep people
