Year 6 invited two doctors from Whittington Hospital to their class to explain about the structure and function of the heart. Our children from Early Years and Key Stage 1 had a great day meeting all sorts of farm animals. It's been fantastic to find out which characters have inspired our children's costumes as part of World Book Day. Three of the garden design winners helped to fill the pond with nature friendly plants and met quite a few frogs.

I am very pleased to welcome you to our school website. We are a one form entry primary school, catering for children from 3 to 11 years old. As a church school, we serve the diverse local community and pride ourselves on our supportive, inclusive ethos.

This is underpinned by our core values. As a Church of England school, much of what to do is shaped by our Christian values such as love, friendship, creativity, perseverance and thankfulness. These link to our shared British values of tolerance, mutual respect, individual liberty, democracy and the rule of law.
Welcome to the section of the website where you can find out more about the school's governors and the work that we do. Our main role is to support the Head teacher and the staff - the phrase often used to describe this role is 'a critical friend'. We help them to set and reach targets and to strive for excellence across the whole spectrum of school life.
We are very proud of our link with our school's church, St John the Evangelist, and use it regularly for whole school services as well as making the most of it as a wonderful resource to suport our children's learning. Rev Comfort and other members of the clergy from St Andrew's and St Mary's visit school once a week to lead assembly and take an active part in the life of the school.
Our school places a great deal of emphasis on keeping our pupils safe and it is a central part of our vision statement. All adults in school are fully vetted to check they are safe to work with children and our staff receive regular safeguarding training to ensure they are up to date with the latest guidance and statutory requirements.
