Hidden away in the South West corner of Scotland, Portpatrick is a small fishing village with a great character. With views over to Ireland and a west facing outlook, the village gets the sun all day and into the evenings. There is always something going on and for people-watching it is unparalleled, especially sitting outside the Crown Hotel.
Well known, and loved by many, the Crown Hotel is a gathering place at the heart of the village. Centrally situated on the esplanade with a great view of the harbour & seafront. The friendly bar offers many different beers, wines, spirits or soft drinks, and food is served all day. There is also a large dining area & conservatory to the rear of the hotel.

Services
The Crown Hotel is set on the harbour's edge of Portpatrick. A delightful fishing village which offers unrivalled beauty, enduring timelessness, and proves to be an idyllic holiday destination. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen televisions with over forty channels to view.
Portpatrick is a beautifully kept traditional fishing village with a historical listed seafront where you will find a mix of quaint cottages, gift shops, hotels and bars, including the Crown Hotel. There are many things to see and do in and around Portpatrick. Golfing, fishing, walking are all very popular, and there are an abundance of beautiful gardens to visit.
The Crown serves fantastic food all year round, fresh local seafood, wonderful seasonal game and locally sourced meats. We have a very extensive Bar menu with food that runs with the rhythms of the seasons. Our A La Carte menu has a large selection of our commended seafood dishes along with our quality game and meats.
Failte (our friends from across the water, Dungiven to be precise) playing the usual upbeat Irish jigs and reels. Playing in our restaurant area non diners welcome from 9:30. Our Resident Folk Band playing in the bar area. Life O' Reilly have been around since the late nineties, although having played together for quite some time, all former members of the Runt O' The Litter.

Great location on the Portpatrick seafront. We had the attic queen room which had a sea view but watch your head!
Restaurant quality was a bit mixed but comes with a better reputation for dinner. Breakfast spoilt for choice and decent quality.
Well stocked bar with draught real ale and plenty of seating.

Have visited the Crown over many years and always had a superb meal, whatever we chose. The staff are friendly but at the same time professional and attentive. Despite the fact they are very busy, we have never had to wait very long for our food. Finally, on leaving this visit, a gentleman member of staff helped negotiate my 93 year old mum, in a wheelchair, out of the pub and to our car
(in the pouring rain) now that is service with a smile!
