Great base for a 3 night stay. Fantastic location, friendly staff. Very good value for money (breakfast included in the price). We were in the Anglesea apartments, which were spacious self contained, two bedroom, shower room and large living / kitchen area flats just behind. Good local walks along the clifftops either side of this lovely harbour village.

Absolute dive !! Room was tiny like you were in a prison. The young lad who showed us to the room said are you sure you booked this room because it was so small ! He guessed we booked thru booking. Com because it doesn’t match the description so obviously had issues before. I asked manager if I could have a refund or upgrade and she said if booking.com agreed she would refund. Booking.com agreed but manager then refused ( she obviously thought money was more important than people’s health ).
The young lad must of felt guilty because he offered us half price meal the next night. ( the manager

Friendly hotel with decent facilities. We came with our dog and he was welcomed in to the bar area. We stayed on a B&B basis and the Scottish breakfast was cooked to order. Lovely produce well executed. Sausage for the dog. We also had a lovely evening meal which was average hotel price but good portions and again well executed. Staff very willing to help with a smile especially Kelsey. Thank you x

Visited Portpatrick today and had a meal in here.
The welcome was really nice and we were taken right away to a table. We were seated looking over the harbour, it was beautiful to eat and look out.
We ordered a tea and a hot chocolate, the chocolate was amazing and the pot of tea did 5 cups. We had plenty of sugar and milk.
Scampi and fish and chips we ordered to eat. The food came quite quick and looked really good. The fish was perfectly cooked the batter was crispy and beautiful. The chips was just enough, the tartare sauce was home made and it was really really good.
Overall a great service
