Philip and Lauren moved to The Fox at Peasemore in 2013 and over the last four years have transformed it into a great village pub. The Fox really has something for everyone. The building and decor are charming and rustic, with elegant modern touches. We have a cosy log burner perfect for those winter evenings and outside seating overlooking stunning countryside for those summer afternoons.
We discovered this place while travelling across country with hungry kids in the back needing feeding. It was the warmest day of the year to date and the skies were clear. The reviews looked favourable and on arrival it had that cost vibe about it. I have to say the good is fantastically fresh, unique in presentation and such good value for money.

Disappointing. The vegetarian options are not great. Falafels are poor, dense, heavy. Don't puree the chickpeas! The Mac and Cheese is an interesting experiment that should have been spiked at birth. I ordered it out of curiosity and wish I hadn't.
Rather negative, the positives were the staff. Our waitress was great, welcoming and fun. Peasemore is a lovely village, but parking isn't great. The car park is small, so you have to park on a narrow lane.

Met with son for family birthday- made very welcome, good ambiance. Menu varied and our meals were very good - 3 steak pies, pork belly, fish pie and kids meal. Only reservations- fish pie sauce rather bland and meals had cooled between plating and serving. Desserts were very good too. Would recommend.

Wow! We were blown away by this pub! Firstly we arrived half an hour early for a drink before our meal and they already had our table ready which was fantastic! The service was some of the best we’ve experienced! Making sure we had drinks and we were happy and even when my partner went for a wee just as our food came out, being asked if we would like our food kept warm! Amazing! Finally the food was absolutely incredible - so full of flavour, good size portions and just proper hearty yummy food! We had the beef Wellington and fish pie and then the apple pie! Thank you for such a wonderful experience

Called on the off chance of a Sunday roast with out booking. No problem, find a table and we'll take a drinks order. What a good choice, three roasts, plus plenty of other options.
You know it's all prepared for you, when it takes a while to arrive.
Beautiful rump of lamb served pink just as it should be, sirloin so tender with fine Yorkshire pudding, the Mediterranean vegetable pie came with great chips. All the accompanying vegetables were perfect and full of flavour.
The desert menu caused almost more trouble, with everything sounding delicious, in the end berry cheesecake, banoffy pie and

Cosy pub/restaurant with delicious options. Another hidden gem found in a beautiful countryside. Food was lovely and serve in a good portion. The staffs are very attentive and helpful. The only thing I hope that the restaurant will invest on a proper coffee machine. Overall, we love the restaurant so much.
