Using the leg springs is one of the best ways to get runners to fully use their hamstrings. Because the Cadillac is such a large piece of equipment it is rarely used in group classes. Bodysense Pilates, run by Stewart Heath offering bespoke, fun and intimate studios based in the heart of Essex.

There is probably no piece of Pilates equipment more famous than the Pilates reformer and for good reasons. The reformer makes a dramatic impression when you first see one, and an even more dramatic change in the body when you use it. Invented by Pilates founder Joseph Pilates, the reformer is a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it, called the carriage, which rolls back and forth on wheels within the frame.
We can also check for other digestive and health conditions, for example, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), headaches / migraines, bloating, sinusitis, eczema and chronic fatigue amongst others. All treatments are non-invasive and provide instant, accurate results and incorporate a comprehensive dietary analysis.
These are based on Ben's experiences over 16 years as a physiotherapist working in a variety of settings from the NHS and professional sport, to corporate and private practice. Treatment needs to cure the problem and prevent recurrence, where possible, not just treat the symptoms. The patient is always the focus of the treatment and their input integral to the process of recovery.

I cannot recommend this studio enough! I suffer from cervical dystonia, a very painful movement disorder of the neck. Having researched high and low, I have managed to develop a strategy for managing my condition and which doesn't involve taking medication. Apart from having deep tissue massage once a month, attending Pilates once a week has helped me manage the pain and gave me better control of my neck movement. Stewart has developed specific exercises for me which is great.! Thank you all at Bodysense!

We visited Amber Health nutritionist in the summer after my son had long term tummy issues. Amber's evaluation, testing and suggestions have improved things 100%. My son follows her diet and supplement guidance and it has changed his life around and is pain free. If you experience tummy issues I would absolutely recommend Amber. Make sure you visit her and find out what's going on in your body and how to improve things. We only wish we had been years ago. Thanks Amber.

I thoroughly recommend seeing Stewart Heath for your Pilates training. I am a big fan of Pilates. I have found it really useful for me, and I regularly recommend my patients to practice it. Stewart is very knowledgeable in Pilates practice, but also in anatomy. He is able to find an alternative exercise, or adaptation that suits each individual's case. This is one of the ways to maintain your structure and overall health, and limit any musculoskeletal degenerative issues. You must try!
