At Pilates Body Studio we are passionate about Pilates and the benefits it can bring to your life, including better posture, strength, flexibility and tone. We pride ourselves on our personable approach to teaching, and Genine, owner of Pilates Body Studio, really has added her own personality to the business.

Genine's successful teaching career means she can maintain a gold standard of instruction and delivery which runs throughout her team. Classes are kept small so we get to know you and work to your individual needs. We believe that correction is the key to effective results and that Pilates will make a positive addition to your life.
Services
Our instructors are all Highly Qualified at Level 3 & 4, ranging from matwork and equipment professionals, through to back care and specific group specialists i.e. Each of our instructors has their own unique teaching style and fun, vibrant personalities. We want to make Pilates part of your life and help you feel the difference it can make to your body. If you have been referred to us by a medical professional we recommend you take the Health Assessment route as you will receive a 1:1 lesson to make sure the exercises are tailored to your individual needs and the instructor will guide you to the appropriate class.
Our Classes are fun and suitable for everyone! From Pregnancy to High Intensity Mat. Pilates is never boring at Pilates Body Studio with so many options for you to choose from. If you are new to Pilates we recommend you start at a Mixed Ability level where the instructor will give options for the Beginner and Intermediate.
Each Studio Equipment Session consists of 2-3 people being instructed on the Pilates machines. We highly recommend studio equipment sessions if you need assistance with a specific injury or have been referred to us by a medical professional. Unlike our Reformer classes which are part of our High Intensity workouts, you will be working individually to achieve your own goals in these sessions.
A reformer class is a resistance based workout, we offer three reformers making it a personal workout. Booking is highly recommended. A Pilates reformer has a sliding carriage which is suspended on a smooth gliding track within a solid rectangular frame. The sliding carriage has a range of different strength springs beneath that are connected to one end of the rectangular frame, these provide the resistance aspect of the exercise.

A very professional and well run organisation. Friendly approachable with no attitude ! I have attended classes with several of their different instructors and all are far better than any Pilates instructors I have experienced in the past in other places. Sarah in particular is an outstanding teacher. Every lesson is well planned and different. Highly professional, encouraging and empowering of us all ! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Before Covid I always went to the studio. It is so welcoming and as the classes were not too large, we got to know the others in the class. Since Covid I have been doing Pilates on Zoom on a Saturday morning mainly with Poppy. I just love it, it’s that bit of me time that is always needed after a busy week at work

I did antenatal pilates with Anneke for my first pregnancy and mummy and baby pilates with Genine after both babies. They're both brilliant instructors, the studio is lovely and clean and the reception staff are very friendly.

Really enjoyed attending the pregnancy pilates classes on Monday evenings with Anneke (who is just great!). The class helped me keep active throughout my pregnancy and now i hope to attend the mother and baby class! :)

I'm a full time Musical Theatre which involves a lot of dancing at a very intense level. Taking classes at Pilates Body Studio has helped me maintain my body's health and strength and I would wholeheartedly recommend taking classes here!

I have been attending classes at PBS for many years. It's one of the best things I ever did. Great if you have back pain as it gives relief and for other joints too. I have 2 knee replacements and came back to Pilates very soon after each op.. The exercises I got helped me to recover very quickly. I would recommend Pilates to anyone, at least give it a try as it can change your life for the better.

A friendly atmosphere where we are all treated as individuals. Great care is taken over our personal exercise needs or limitations. Very flexible with classes and making up classes if one is missed. Been with them over 5 years now and still benefitting.

Brilliant teachers who taylor classes to suit individual needs, abilities and goals. I've been coming to the Pilates Body Studio for over 3 years and would highly recommend them. I had suffered with a lack of flexibility, balance and a troublesome back before I came to them which are now all significantly improved. I've been taking the men's class with Anneke and would encourage other men to do so. She's great fun but pushes us hard to improve. There's great banter and we always have a laugh. She gives as good as she takes.

I have been going to Pilates Body Studio for approximately five years and since joining my range of movements have increased by about 80%. I have spinal problems and one of the worst things was that I could not bend forward at all. I now bend forward with ease and with no fear of my back going. The instructors are so friendly, patient, funny and knowledgeable. I love the way they explain the exercises and the benefits of doing them.
