Services
For your first session with us, you need to sign a liability waiver and to let us know the health conditions of your child. You should perform a free-of-hazard check to the space you have chosen. The area should be free of any obstacle on the mat and half-meter around the mat. Be sure that you have sufficient lighting and the temperature is regulated and free of draughts.
The primary aim of Pilates is to strengthen the deepest muscles of our core to generate more efficient body movements. With the practice of Pilates, muscles become stronger and more flexible; coordination and balance are also improved, allowing better body posture. Practising Pilates regularly helps to prevent back, neck and joint pain creating a general feeling of wellbeing.

My 10-year old son has been attending online classes with Susana at Kids Pilates in Action for a few months. He looks forward to the classes, says he feels calmer at the end of them and that he “likes the way his body feels” afterwards. I am very happy to have found this friendly class which makes him aware of his body and helps him improve his… core strength. I’ve also noticed a difference in his posture, for example he sits straighter at the dinner table, so I’m hoping we can avoid a slouchy teenager in a couple of years’ time! Thank you Susana!

I booked Kids Pilates for a Scout night. We had great feedback from Scouts and parents about how they enjoyed experiencing a different kind of physical activity. I felt the session was well planned for our younger scouts and actively engaged their mental participation as well as physical. They were made aware of the benefits of the stretches and taught a bit about the body. A nice holistic experience and some great photos!

My 7 year old daughter has had some remote Pilates sessions with Susana and has really enjoyed them. At first I was doubtful about whether remote sessions would keep her attention, but Susana kindly offered a free tester session and it went really well, so we carried on! Susana is very encouraging and makes the session fun with lots of imagination and description.

Susana is fabulous. My 7 year old daughter, hypermobile, has been doing one to one remote Pilates with Susana for 8 sessions. She is really good with children. She has kept her focused and motivated and pays attention to her technique. I think this exercise js very beneficial to my daughter and I’m glad we found such a good specialist in children. My 8-year old daughter has some postural challenges, and we were recommended to get her to do some pilates. Susanna is an excellent teacher, not just technically but she builds a great relationship with kids. My daughter never wanted to do exercises, but she loves practising pilates. She really enjoyed the classes and has clearly improved her core muscles. Susanna helped her over 6 sessions to build up her knowledge of a large range of exercises, that she can now do by herself. Susanna was a fantastic help throughout and overall a great experience

Susana is a very experienced Pilates teacher who knows how to beautifully bring the greatness of the Pilates technique to kids. My two daughters aged 13 and 10 are throughly enjoying the classes whilst benefiting greatly from the exercises, gaining strength, stability and flexibility. I love Pilates and wish all children were given the opportunity to practise it. Susana is amazingly doing so.

Susana has been bending over backwards to accommodate the particular needs and requests of our 10 year old boy. He is not very sporty and with hyper mobility he’s in need of some strengthening for his posture. Kids pilates is very hard to come by but thankfully she is extremely dedicated to bringing a much-needed service in the UK for the physical development of children. I’m also very grateful she is now doing Zoom lessons as we live too far away. She is an articulate, sensitive teacher, giving clear instructions with confidence and careful attention to detail.

Susana has been working with my 6-year-old son for nearly a year now and in that time, I have noticed a huge transformation in Isaac’s core strength. Isaac has found moving multiple body parts at once very difficult, however he is making gradual improvements with his co-ordination. Susana has been so patient with him and introduced different reward… systems to which Isaac has responded positively. Susana has been giving our son one on one lessons. It’s really helping to give him some core strength as he’s always struggled with his balance and as he’s got older (he’s 9) even sitting still in class is becoming an issue. He loves the lessons and is full of enthusiasm. Susana is a great teacher, patient and full of positivity and encouragement.

After my son was diagnosed with hypermobile joints I was searching for a children's pilates class. I'm so glad that I discovered Kids Pilates in Action as it has made such a big difference to his posture in day to day activities. Susana makes the classes fun and interesting - even for an 11year old boy! The small friendly groups also make the… classes less daunting and the children enjoy individual attention. I would recommend these classes to any parent who wants to create good posture habits for their children which will set them up for life.
