The technique was founded by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. An exercise system which improves posture, restores muscle balance and increases your strength and flexibility. The result is a more streamlined body with good all over muscle tone. Simple and precise exercises are performed without forcing or straining the body, helping to relieve stress and tension and in many cases reducing back and joint pain.
Individual attention will be given to your particular needs in a screening prior to the session. Then we will look at your physical capability and work on exercises to suit your needs. Teaching from her own small studio in North West London, Sarah also uses the Reformer, Matwork, balls, foam rollers and inspiration.
Pilates for Beginners - This DVD is for anyone who would like to learn the Pilates technique from scratch and have a home workout with detailed instruction. Relaxation - This 10 minute relaxation DVD is to help you unwind and relax your whole body at the end of a long hard day. Both DVDs were filmed in 2 hours in Sarah's studio by Michael Slowe and guest student with Sarah is Ronelle Solomon.
Sarah was one of the first Pilates teachers to offer a Pilates retreat to pilates clients and pilates students. Whether you are a Pilates beginner or a Pilates intermediate student, a pilates holiday will work for you. Since 2002, Sarah's Pilates retreats have been running successfully around the world.

Ever grateful to my Osteopath for recommending Sarah. Where others (Physio/Pilates instructors and Back Surgeon) have failed she has triumphed. With her patience and unique ability to communicate and tailor instructions I can now exercise 'properly' which has brought about significant pain relief and restored muscle strength. After dealing with a series of injuries and having become incredibly frustrated, I was introduced to Sarah by a friend. Sarah is so talented when it comes to body awareness and health in Pilates. Am very happy to be taught by her. I have been to a few other classes and they don't compare. She is so thorough and communicates amazingly so you really understand the movement. My body and strength has improved so much since learning from Sarah. Highly recommend!
