This is why we have a low ratio of two-clients-to-one-teacher and a longer 75-minute session, in contrast with the 60-minute sessions at most studios. Our work is about detail and constant refinement to harness the natural power of your whole body; it will enable you to experience what we call the "internal mechanism" of Pilates exercises.

The holistic approach of Pilates is what differentiates it from other forms of physical exercise. What makes Trevor Blount Pilates so important for posture is that it trains the deep structural muscles that support our skeletal system. This makes movement much more efficient and reduces overloading on our feet, knees, hips, spines, shoulders and necks, and reduces headaches.
Working at the studio, one can really see and feel the difference Trevor Blount Pilates makes. After reading an article about Pilates in 1983, I began to learn the system with former-dancer, Dreas Reyneke. In 1985, I completed teacher training with Alan Herdman, who pioneered Pilates in the UK, and worked with him before setting up my own studio in 1991.
Trevor Blount started teaching Pilates in 1985 and has been at the forefront of training Pilates teachers for more than 30 years. He was responsible for starting the PILATESfoundation in 1996 and was instrumental in creating the structure for the PILATESfoundation teacher training accreditation system, which started in 1999.
To enable us to work thoroughly through the entire body and to give each client a tailored programme, studio sessions at Trevor Blount Pilates are 75 minutes - in contrast to the 60-minute sessions at most studios; we operate a ratio of two-clients-to-one-teacher, which is lower than most studios. Our prices reflect the length of the sessions, and our care and attention to detail.

To be in the care of Trevor Blount and his team of most highly qualified and very attentive teachers is to be in heaven. I have been a client at Trevor Blount Pilates for well over 15 years. He has seen me through many physical challenges over those years. Three pregnancies in three and a half years, which is very taxing on the female body. He has assisted me through multiple sports injuries. I was an Epee fencer for several years, so I had injuries over the years.

I have been coming regularly for two years already, following my second pregnancy. But I am a classical ballet dancer too so besides helping to get back in shape, Trevor and his wonderful team persistently help me fix all the disallimenments which is was not aware off whilst strengthening my entire body in every session. Amazing team and athmosohere, and how lucky to be able to learn from Trevor alone!

This is a very professionally run studio. The teachers are all very well trained and keep up to date. They can help you if you have an injury and also educate those of us who just want to become more aware. The studio hours are great for those of us who work (early mornings, late evenings and weekends) and the location is very handy for tube or bus.

My family and I have been visiting London from Australia and being a Pilates teacher myself, I needed to get my Pilates fix whilst I was here. For 11 years Trevor and his team have looked after my problem back and kept me in shape. The studio is well equipped and the teachers are highly trained, very experienced and sympathetic. All age groups are catered for and you have you own programme which takes account of how your body is working and feeling with lots of new and interesting exercises unlike some Pilates sessions elsewhere which can be limited.
The flexible appointment system is very useful especially if you are busy or travelling.
The 90 minute slots are good value for money given the high standard of teaching.

I'm a runner and have 2 children and my body was feeling compressed as I started doing Pilates to stretch and release the pressure on my lower spine. I felt so much better after my first session I brought 10 sessions. In my time of doing Pilates my body has changes so much, that Pilates will stay with me for the rest of my life. Great studio and teachers.

For the last four years I have gone weekly to Trevor and his equally capable team to do an hour and a half of Pilates. It has been life transforming. Having had several knee operations, the gentle bespoke instruction has enabled me to rebuild my strength and maintain flexibility - I cycle, swim and climb with ease and enjoyment and bless the day my physiotherapist recommended I do Pilates regularly.

My body has completely changed for the better since I started going to Trevor Blount: my back problems resolved, my posture improved, my legs leaner, my arms more defined, and the list goes on. Trevor and his team are very knowledgeable, extremely observant and create diligently customized programs for all their clients, addressing specific needs. They're basically magical but you also have to stick to it for a while to see the real benefits!

I tried a number of different studios before choosing Trevor Blount Pilates. Every session is an hour and a half which makes a real difference. The level of expertise is a clear cut above the rest and the environment is hugely supportive especially if you're recovering from injury / getting back into sport. I've been going for 12 years now and I'm a very happy customer. I couldn't recommend the studio more highly.
