Part of the acclaimed "Why it Matters" Series, Rehana's book looks at the evidence for supporting physical activity in mothers, as well as how women's physiology changes during pregnancy and after they give birth. This much needed, pivotal book answers in detail the questions that mothers and those supporting them may have.

MummyYoga classes have been designed by none other than the author of "Why Pregnancy and Postnatal Exercise Matter" Dr. Rehana Jawadwala, from the widely acclaimed Why It Matters book series. We at MummyYoga are passionate about preparing for birth. Our classes, workshops and retreats are designed to empower you with a unique and powerful structure that builds physical strength and mental resilience and helps with your emotional regulation during pregnancy and into motherhood. MummyYoga pregnancy class is designed for women in all trimesters.
The MummyYoga Birth Preparation course focuses exclusively on what you can do to help yourself have the most positive birth experience, regardless of the type of birth you are planning. It will teach you in depth skills to prepare yourself mentally, emotionally as well as physically for the birth. We will talk about the effect of stress and fear on your labour and how this hinders the birth process.
Hanging on to our mums is how we have evolved! As a new mum you have probably discovered the power of carrying your baby sling in calming, settling and soothing your new baby You haven't? We will practice gentle, safe and connected yoga that will incorporate your baby both actively and passively throughout the class.

MummyYoga was founded in 2015 by Dr. Rehana Jawadwala and is going from strength to strength; from a small side project to a demanding day-job to a purposeful, all-consuming mission in 2019, the journey so far has been the most enriching experience.We are now ready to share our success with likeminded, driven people who share our passion and commitment to empower mothers and their families as they transition into becoming parents.

A beautiful class for mummy’s to be! A great way to relax, unwind and meet new people in the same situ! Rehana has a gentle, warm and cari approach which instantly makes you feel at ease and welcomed. The practice allows you to go at your own pace whilst still making you work those important areas of the body and mind.

A few weeks back I went to MummyYoga and really enjoyed the session. The level was pitched just right and Rehana was a great teacher. I would recommend this class to other pregnant ladies 😊. Unfortunately Friday early evenings are not the most convenient of timings for me so I haven’t been able to get to another session yet, hopefully I will manage to squeeze one in before the baby comes!

Good quality yoga adapted to strengthen and relief tightness/pain in pregnant ladies. Rehana is warm and conduces the class in a very relaxing way but keeps it professional and well structured. I liked in particular that she explains the exercises very well and the rational for doing them or not doing them in a certain way. As someone who has practised yoga before, I am very happy to have found this pregnancy yoga class.
COVID-19 safety measures are in place and the room itself is spacious. Highly recommend this class!

We joined half way through the birth prep course due to work commitments and were made to feel so welcome by Rehana and the other couples in the class. It was wonderful to try out many hypnobirthing techniques I’d previously read about, but with Rehana’s guidance it all made so much sense. I feel more informed, calm & confident upon completing the course alongside other pregnant women and we’re really enjoying the discussions/homework that we’ve come away with. Thank you Rehana x

Since falling pregnant I’ve been looking for a pregnancy focussed yoga class and this class was perfect. So relaxing but also a great workout. I’ve treated myself to a 12 class pass and can’t wait to go back.

Just wanted to send a big thank you as I’m really enjoying the online videos, have been trying to follow one each day, with a Sunday rest day :) you couldn’t have timed it better with their release- ahead of the others who are just moving to online now...well done!
Having gone from 100miles an hour at work to this lockdown as my maternity leave started they’ve helped me adjust to this new pace and give me some focus. Couple of weeks until due date yet, but ready for whenever our little boy wants to come - in his own time.
Hopefully catch up for some baby wearing yoga once thing have calmed

I went to MummyYoga for the first time recently and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Rehana took the time to introduce herself and find out a bit about me and my pregnancy so far. She is very approachable and welcoming and the class itself was calming and relaxing, just what you need! I would recommend this class to anyone.

MummyYoga is such a great way to start the day - I always leave feeling positive and energised. I've not done a lot of yoga in the past, but Rehana's tuition makes me feel confident and the stretching is wonderful. I'm pretty sure my baby bump loves the relaxation element too!

After one class, I knew that joining Mummy Yoga was for me. Finding somewhere to practice yoga safely during pregnancy was so important after doing yoga for many years. Rehana is a wonderful teacher, and clearly explains all movements as well as offering a place for relaxation and meditation that I greatly need. Looking forward to my class tonight. Freya xx

Absolutely amazing experience - mummy yoga kept me strong and relaxed throughout my pregnancy. I used so many of the breathing techniques, positions and stretches in pregnancy and in labour. I felt calm and in control of my body at all times. I actually miss the pregnancy yoga! My daughter and I have loved our sling yoga and sling walks also. We love Rehana!
