Diabetes foot treatment and screening is led by owner Dr Michelle Spruce who has an international reputation for diabetic foot treatment, alongside her diploma of fellowship in the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine. I am very pleased to announce that the second treatment room will be opening in July to provide additional appointments due to high demand.
Services
Our surgery opened in Tabernacle Walk, Blandford Forum in 2001. Our highly trained podiatrists include Dr Michelle Spruce FFPM RCPS (Glasg) and Emma Readhead (BSc Hons). After qualifying from the University of Southampton with a first class honours degree in Podiatry, Michelle was seconded to the Cardiovascular Division, Kings College London to complete her doctoral work.
We understand that our patients may be unable to travel to the clinic, that's why we are providing our patients with our services at home, 6 days a week. We focus on Blandford and the surrounding areas, usually within 10mile radius, but we are able to travel further upon request. We are also happy to visit both Nursing and residential homes if required.
Urea is an essential ingredient to giving dry skin the moisture it needs. Urea cream targets the most extreme dry and chapped skin leaving your feet feeling soft and smooth. We stock here a range of well know podiatrist formulated different urea creams such as Ureka, CCS and simply feet at a range of different strengths.
Below are some of the most commonly asked questions that we get, but if you do have any other questions please don't hesitate to call us to enquire. There are restrictions as to who is eligible for 'free' chiropody treatment, depending upon certain qualifying medical conditions. Such conditions are in general, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and peripheral vascular disease (narrowing of the blood vessels).

Amazing. I cannot recommend this practise more highly. I went in hobbling and came out walking on air. Brilliant.

Me first ever visit to a chiropodist was arranged at short notice (45 minutes) and provided a welcome example of personal service at the highest level. From a welcoming and efficient receptionist to a skilled and professional chiropodist who left me after a very short period of time able to break into a canter for the first time in many years. (Satisfied new client aged 76).
