This is the term used to describe various procedures where ingrowing or problem nails can easily be resolved by removing one or both sides, or the whole of the nail under local anaesthetic and then applying a chemical to in order to prevent re-growth. Swift provides our podiatrists with a new and highly precise way of treating soft tissue lesions on feet and hands.
If you have pain in your feet, ankles, knees, hips or back you may benefit from a biomechanical assessment. As well as 'off the shelf' orthotics, using the latest 3D scanning technology, we work with our partner company to produce custom made orthotics for you.

It presents as itchy peeling skin between the toes or anywhere of the foot, a peeling rash, or a rash of small brown-red spots. It can be very itchy and uncomfortable. Sometimes it can present as a dry, eczema type of skin, with underlying inflammation. Fungi, or dermatophytes live on our skin naturally, and usually do not cause us a problem.
Its all a chain reaction. If you have pain in the hips and knees, the chances are that it may be the way you walk. The Forest Foot & Health Clinic will provide you with a complete holistic view with our Physiotherapist considering problems from the top down & our Podiatrists from the ground up. Don't suffer - our wealth of experience has highlighted that delayed treatment makes recovery slower.
At our clinic we provide orthotics produced from a scan of your feet and manufactured by an independent company. The benefit of scanned orthoses is that they are specific to each foot, thus providing the correct amount of control in the exact areas in which it is required. These orthoses are generally much more comfortable than 'off the shelf orthoses' as they are 'made for you'.
Diabetes is a condition which can affect the whole body. It occurs because the body is unable to process and store sugar adequately; therefore a high level of sugar remains in the blood. Often starts in childhood, or after a shock. The pancreas, which normally produces insulin, stops producing any insulin at all.
Fungal toenails are a common problem in the UK, characterised by a change in thickness and colour of the nail (to brown, yellow, or green). Our skin has a natural layer of fungi called dermatophytes, which live naturally on our skin. When provided with the right conditions, however, (warm, damp and dark), the fungus can multiply and become an infection.

Had a very informative appointment with the Physiotherapist Stephanie yesterday, she manipulated the joint in my big toe and with her expert knowledge recommended insoles, shoes and exercises, after just one day the difference is amazing! can't recommend Forest Foot & Health Clinic highly enough. Many thanks.

I had a long-standing stubborn verruca that home treatments had failed to remedy. Hilary recommended the Swift treatment as a pioneering new way of treating verrucae and explained that they had had a lot of success with it where other treatments had failed. Though it was painful during the treatment itself, the pain is very short-lived and there is… no special after care or dressing required. It's a very quick and clean treatment. After a few sessions over a couple of months and a bit of patience, I'm pleased to say that my verruca has now gone! The clinic itself is a very clean and pleasant
