We are a non-profit making, community run group, managed by a committee of parents/volunteers. Rushwick Pre-School is a purpose built, mobile building situated in the grounds of Rushwick Primary School. Considerable fund-raising efforts are taking place to enable the construction of a new building.
The unit and its equipment belongs to the members of Rushwick Pre-School. All parents of children automatically become members of the Pre-School, with the opportunity to become members of the management and fund-raising committees if they wish. We are registered with Ofsted under the 1989 Children Act and can accommodate up to 22 children, from age 2 to 4 years old, per session.

Services
Fees for children not receiving funding, and for those attending more than their free hours are 4.50 per hour. As part of this charge, healthy snacks will be included in morning and afternoon sessions. We do offer a hot lunch option, to be be ordered in advance, at a cost of 2.30 per day. However, should your child not want a hot meal then a lunch box must be provided from home.
At preschool we follow a healthy eating policy and aim to provide a balanced diet for the children. We provide healthy snacks each day. This is generally a carbohydrate snack in the morning (such as wholemeal toast) and fruit or vegetables in the afternoon. Children are free to come and eat when they are ready in line with our "free flow" policy.
Tapestry in an online journal recording all the learning and fun of children's early education, it helps educators and parents to record, track and celebrate your children's progress in early years education. We will post observations on regularly so you are kept updated on your child and would encourage you to post your own observations should you feel there is a milestone or special achievement which you would like to celebrate with us.
