Broom House Farm
We are recruiting! Please join us in wishing the wonderful Ian the very best for his retirement from the Farm Shop, and the best of luck to Melissa as she starts maternity leave. The Farm Shop is very well stocked and open Tuesdays-Saturdays.

We are limiting the number of customers inside the shop at any time to 6 people and we ask you please to wash your hands here on arrival (there is warm water and soap at the handwashing station - you may like to bring a handtowel as we do not provide these). We keep the shop doors open at all times and we ask you also to respect people's need for space by keeping a good distance from other customers and our staff.
Services
Broom House is a windy spot at 750 feet, with fabulous views over the surrounding countryside, when the weather allows! The farm steading is on the top of the hill and the farmland rolls down the valley to the River Browney. Broom House is a livestock farm - so most of our fields grow grass and clover mixes.
We can arrange a Sunday collection from the coffee shop to tie in with your visit, please call the farm shop when they're open on 0191 371 8839 to place your order. The Farm Shop is very well stocked and remains fully open Tuesdays-Saturdays, although closed on Sundays and Mondays for the moment. We are allowing a maximum of 6 customers into the shop at any time (and the door is kept open so please dress for the cold!)
Home produced, well marbled, traditional Aberdeen Angus beef dry aged for at least 21 days, enhancing taste and tenderness. All our beef is grass fed, produced from organic Aberdeen Angus cows that spend their lives grazing our organic pastures. Originally from Aberdeen in Scotland going back to 18th Century this hardy breed survives well outdoors whatever the weather.
The breeds we farm have been chosen for their eating qualities - rare breed British Saddleback Pork has superb flavour & amazing crackling Saddleback pigs have been kept oin the farm since 1992 and by choosing this breed we are helping ensure its survival - they are classified as "at risk" by the RBST.
Lleyn sheep produce succulent, tasty lamb and are ideally suited to the organic system. All our lamb is finished outdoors on organic pastureland Taste the difference - try mutton for a change! Broom House Farm mutton is produced from organic female sheep that are over 2 years old and have spent their lives out on our organic pasture.

Just love this place - well stocked farm shop with their own organic meat, range of jams& pickles, locally produced cheeses, locally grown veg & broom house farms free range eggs. The butchery staff are fantastic, very knowledgeable and willing to cut any joint you require & so friendly. Coffee shop has a range of home made cakes & delicious sandwiches, afternoon teas & Sunday lunches. There is also outdoor eating area, picnic area & children's play area. Children can also enjoy the forest adventure trail & there are various walking routes around the farm. A great place for a family day.

Nice selection of products from the far, local producers & some further afield. Mix of foods, candles, toys, etc. Staff very good. Meat prices seem fair as it looks like exceptional quality but some other things like jams & gifts very expensive & difficult to justify.

Took my friend Finlay to Broom House for a day out in the summer and we had such a great time. The forest adventure was full of different quizzes and games for us to enjoy and we could have stayed in there all day. Stopped off at the coffee shop before leaving as well, which was full of some great looking cakes and snacks - including some gluten free options for Fin. Overall a superb experience!

Called in on Saturday for lunch. Despite it being very busy, the staff were extremely pleasant and the food delicious. I wish I has known about it when the kids were young as they would have loved jumping on the hay bales in the sunshine. What a really lovely place to eat. We will definitely be back.

We visited recently for a coffee, catch up and a play date. It was a fantastic day out for all of us. My toddler adores the chickens and pigs, and loves to explore the grassy play area. It was busy but we were served in minutes and enjoyed a hot coffee and a few naughty treats too! We’ll certainly be making a visit to broom house a regular occurance!

Brilliant day out for the kids ( and the big kids too ) plenty for them to do. Set in woodland, there's things to climb on, zip wires, tunnels, slides, bridges and loads of things to find like the hidden animals, fairies & the dragon. There's a nice cafe with out door seating area and a farm shop selling local produce.
Good value for money as you can stay right up till closing time. Make sure you dress accordingly as it can get quite dirty depending on the weather!!!

WOW! What a place to visit!
Broom House Farm provided us a lovely afternoon filled with delicious food, great sites and an overall wonderful experience.
The breakfast was loaded with flavor and left our stomachs full. The lattes and desserts were also so scrumptious.
The service was so great as everyone was smiling and happy to have us as guests at farmhouse.
Check out the farmhouse shop on your way out to bring some lovely local bits and bobs of broom house farm back to your home.

Nice farm day out with a great woodland adventure and some educational activities.
If your wanting to go into the forest Adventure its £20 for 2 Adults and 2 Children family ticket or 5.50 each for over 2+. Dogs are welcome and no smoking on the site. Season ticket available also.
The site also has some farm animals a maze small tractors and a park with small wooden fort food available onsite with a farm shop and restaurant.
Food in the restaurant was not overpriced and of a good quality.
Downside if you wanted to bring a picnic I think its a little out of the way from the actual main site
