NHS Digital's daily collection of GP data will support vital health and care planning and research. If you require any information from us in accessible format such as large print, easy read or Braille, please contact the surgery on 01422 374109 or ask a receptionist. With patient's needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need.

Of course we're not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition. We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarising yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription.
Services
If you need urgent treatment, please contact your usual dental practice, as they may be able to see you or direct you to an urgent dental care service. If you do not have a regular dentist, contact NHS 111 for advice on where you can get urgent care. The cost of emergency dental treatment is currently 23.80.
Appointments made with inappropriate clinicians will not be seen and will have to be re-booked. We run all our surgeries by an appointment only system. Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery or in person at reception. We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. If you, or someone you care for, use the same medicines regularly, you may not need to get a new prescription every time you need more medicine. Ask your doctor or nurse about repeat prescribing.
Antenatal/Postnatal Care - we offer a shared care with the hospital consultant and community midwife. Midwives are available every Friday morning and afternoon. Family Planning - We provide a full range of family planning services including coils; caps and implanon. Please ask at reception for an appointment.
If you have a blood test or similar taken by the practice, it usually takes a minimum of 10 days to receive the result. It is important that you contact the surgery after this time for your results. Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection.

In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.A blood test is when a sample of blood is taken for testing in a laboratory. Blood tests have a wide range of uses and are one of the most common types of medical test.

Can't praise them enough. Managed to get an emergency appointment within 10 mins on New Year's Eve afternoon. Saw Dr Hammond who suspected appendicitis & arranged immediate admission to HRI. Her diagnosis was confirmed & I had my appendix removed on New Year's Day.

I can’t rate this practice highly enough, I got an appointment on line with 3 hours notice and was then seen by Dr Sowden approximately 10 minutes before the appointment was scheduled. Dr Sowden was brilliant, he was professional, efficient and thorough and gave me appropriate treatment. I have previously visited Dr Aslam who was also fantastic. I have always found the receptionists friendly and helpful.

My mother was a patient here for too long. She now suffers from dementia. She has received almost no medical care or support from them whatsoever (despite a diagnosis from her GP at this practice). Even when she was in crisis I had to literally beg (I'm not being overdramatic here) a GP to visit her even after the Mental Health Team had Stepped in too. She was sectioned again in May (it's now sept) and I've just had a call from this practice to ask where she is because 'she hasn't picked up her blood pressure tablets for a while now!' THIS is the level of care you can expect from this practice
