Hoddington Arms
There is finally light at the end of the tunnel and we can work towards opening the doors of The Hodd again. The Hodd family have missed you all and we are ready and waiting to welcome you back. Following government guidelines there will be a new addition to the garden to ensure that you are kept warm and dry!

The Hodd family will be back to ensure you have the experience you love as well as keeping you safe. To ensure that we can look after everyone in a safe environment and we maintain social distancing it is essential that reservations are made in advance of your arrival. This will mean that we stagger and control the volume of guests arriving at any one time.
Services
A traditional English pub nestled in the picturesque village of Upton Grey; Our team love what they do and this shows in the quality of the food and the service you will enjoy. So if a warm welcome and traditional English food using the best ingredients sounds like your cup of tea then we are a 'must visit'.
Our dishes are created using the best seasonal produce. All you need to do is choose from the selection of freshly made dishes, savour the taste and enjoy the atmosphere. The scent of freshly baked bread fills the kitchen each morning, while home-made ice-cream accompanies some of the delicious desserts.
Take a look at what's on in Hampshire below to see our favourite nearby attractions that could be of interest to you. From historic days out at Jane Austen's House in Chawton to Shopping at Festival Place in Basingstoke, you'll find all of Hampshire's goodies right here. Jane Austen is one of the most popular and important novelists that England has ever produced.
We believe The Hoddington Arms has the perfect setting for you to enjoy countryside walks through scenic Hampshire settings. Why not explore the local area, history, and perhaps even pick up some fresh produce from one of the local farms or the delightful Upton Grey Village Shop? Of course, no country walk would be complete if not followed by a well-earned pub lunch and a pint (or a glass of the finest from our wine list.).
At mini roundabout turn right towards Upton Grey (you will enter North Warnborough village). When you leave the village continue straight down Bidden Road and you will see The Hoddington Arms on your left. We highly recommend booking as the Hoddington Arms is a very popular dining venue and we would hate to disappoint! Please call us on 01256 862371, email us bookings@hoddingtonarms.co.uk, or visit our online reservations area.

WOW!!!
Your staff were exemplary, engaged and motivated. Nothing was too much trouble. Their smiles contagious. For young adults, you would think they had been in the industry for decades. They all clearly enjoyed their work and were a pleasure to be waited on. It was very busy, but your team were SO attentive, built up excellent rapport with us at the table and ensured everything was spot on.
To the kitchen team. Again, WOW!!! Everything was cooked to perfection. All our 8 meals came out fluidly and hot. The food was mouth watering, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The portion sizes

Had a fabulous lunch here today, food was delicious. We were sat in the outdoor marquee and the set up makes you think you're indoors with attention to detail on lighting, decor and heating. Service was attentive and friendly and all in couldn't wish for a better experience.

Great location and stunning food. Some good dog walks nearby and a really well run clean and friendly pub. Dogs welcome too. Prices are higher than average but food is excellent.

Warm, cosy atmosphere with friendly staff and a great drinks menu (albeit without cocktails). The food was delicious and great portion sizes not too much and not small. In door and outdoor seating with good covid safety measures. Will be coming back (after all the covid madness).

You will either arrive here by chance from a walk across the countryside, or drive here because you know the winding lanes away from the main highway. Either way, on a summers day there is an ample garden to soak up the sun while enjoying a beer from the selection on tap. Alternately there is a fare range of wines, gins, and whiskies. But mostly I would recommend planning a dinner here. The times I have dined here I have found fresh menus as the seasons change, while being reasonably priced. (Dinning for 4 - Pre dinner drinks, couple bottles of wine, 3 courses and coffee totalled under £100.00
