If you have symptoms of fever, dry cough and muscle aches and pains please do not attend the surgery. If you are unable to complete the online questionnaire please telephone the surgery for assistance or telephone 111. As a group of practices we will now be offering a LIMITED number of evening and weekend appointments across all the practices with short-term funding from the CCG provided to help with pressures on the appointment system.
There is easy access to the surgery for disabled people and all services can be provided on the ground floor. Disabled toilet facilities are also available. We have our own car park. We are proud to be involved in the teaching of the next generation of Doctors. We have medical students based at Royal Preston Hospital who come in to the Practice to learn about GP work.

Services
Mrs Jacci Rowley is in charge of the staff and responsible for the smooth running of the Practice and will deal with any problems or queries regarding the Practice. Emma is responsible for the referrals to the various hospitals etc and deals with any queries appertaining to this. Emma is also responsible for the recalls for the chronic disease clinics (heart disease, diabetic, asthma etc).
Baby Development Checks - Dr Jacobs carries out the 6 week development check and the Practice Nurse will carry out the immunisations. Childhood Immunisations - a computerised recall system operates for children's immunisations, and the vaccinations will be given in conjunction with the Child Health Clinic.
The Practice operates an appointment system so you must have an appointment to see a Doctor or Nurse. Please note only one patient can be seen per appointment. Appointments can be made in person, online or on the telephone by ringing 01257 513950. We ask that the patients telephone for routine matters i.e. repeat prescriptions after 10am as we are busying dealing with emergency calls between 8am and 10am.
We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff. To help us with this, we have set up a patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you receive.

Currently sitting here having an eye screening appointment....asked for some hand gel after opening the door. Was told quite abruptly there isn't any! There was some on their table in the treatment room but wasn't offered any. I was told the door handles are wiped down between patients. Didn't see this happening. And so we wonder why cases are increasing. They can't get it right even in a health centre. I despair!

I'm sure once you get passed the receptionist, their service is as good as anywhere else, however I only had the misfortune of speaking to a receptionist. I think for the sake of clarity, the receptionist should perhaps steer clear of statements like "I can't help you. Unless. You. Are. MY. Patient." as their first response. Thankfully my 4 year old son wasn't HER patient and we found the information we were looking for elsewhere but I was shocked at how abrasive she was towards someone asking for help. Maybe a less people-oriented role would be better suited.

Arrived 5 minutes afore allotted time for nurse. They were running slightly late, didn’t mind as COVID precaution is obviously being adhered to. Was called through by a very nice nurse. Dressing sorted and on my way in no time.
In my opinion, all very polite, helpful and professional. Would go back there again if needs must.

Called to get an appointment with a GP who could fill in and sign off a medical examination report from life insurance company to take out a policy. A very standard and basic procedure to the GPs. However, the reception had ZERO clue of what was being asked of them. Kept tossing calls between themselves and the community centre desk. After several attempts I gave up! Pathetic service given its an NHS service. If anyone is unsure of the future of NHS, this is it, right here. Appalling!

Once I get past the receptionists to an actual doctor, thIs surgery is fine. The problem I have is actually getting an appointment for my 4 week old, instead I get "go to urgent care". Since my infant has not had any any vaccinations yet, i am hesitant to go in to a hospital environment unless In an absolute emergency. No support to a new mum, I would have expected a newborn to be seen with an element of priority, along with the elderly. Receptionist didn't even attempt to fit us in. Disappointing to say the least.

Turned up at 10:30 for a 10:40 appointment, finally went in at 11:15 to be told by the GP, (told is an understatement, talked over is more the facts) that he didn’t have time to discuss my problem.
When I explained that really wasn’t my concern as it was he who had kept me waiting, he replied with “do you think I have been playing golf?”.
I think I would sooner die in a gutter than ever visit this surgery again! An absolute disgrace to the health profession.
