Hook Lane Primary School
We achieve this by providing a broad, varied, exciting and relevant curriculum in an environment where children feel both safe and challenged. We build a culture that runs on love, kindness and happiness, where the contagious quality of a smile is never underestimated and where happy children and happy staff are able to work hard.

We support each other to make every day, week, month, year better than the last with every member of the community pulling together. We model risk-taking, challenge, failure and success in order to fearlessly break down barriers. We teach children not just facts, but how to be learners and how to love learning - skills which will remain with them throughout their lives.
Services
The Local Governing Board supports the development and delivery of the annual School Development Plan. Governors hold a full meeting once a term. They regularly visit the school to look at areas related to school improvement.

Parents are always welcome to approach Governors about general policy issues, but specific concerns about their child's education or complaints should be raised with the Class Teacher or Headteacher as appropriate in the first instance. If you are interested in finding out more about the work of the Governing Body, how to become a Governor or wish to contact the Chair of Governors then please speak to the School Office.
At Hook Lane our mission is to provide all ASD pupils with a stimulating learning environment, where children can receive a curriculum tailored to meet their specific needs, strive to achieve their maximum potential, celebrate their differences and engage their curiosities. The children are supported to learn in their mainstream classrooms as much as is appropriate for the child and are included in all aspects where possible.
All children are valued, respected and welcomed to the school whatever their additional educational need. We aim for a curriculum where learning activities can be undertaken at a variety of levels and in a variety of different ways that are tailored to meet the individual needs of the child. Our school is fully accessible by wheelchair with designated toilets with disabled access.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare, both physical and emotional, of every pupil both inside and outside of the school premises. We implement a whole-school preventative approach to managing safeguarding concerns, ensuring that the well-being of pupils is at the forefront of all action taken.
Maritime Academy Trust is an exciting and innovative partnership of primary schools located in Greenwich, Bexley and Medway. Our schools have transformed through targeted collaboration, innovative ideas and an entrepreneurial curriculum which equips children with leadership and life skills. We want to develop children who are happy, resilient and confident to give things a go.

So far I have to say this school and its teachers have been amazing, so warm & welcoming and they seem to generally care about their children they teach.
