Throughout our school all children are introduced to History the concept of time and historical events in a number of ways. This includes finding out about the lives of significant people and events from the past within and beyond living memory.

Children listen and respond to stories and use sources of information to help them ask and answer questions and acquire a broad knowledge and understanding of the people and events which have shaped the world they live in.Children developing an awareness of chronology and the passing of time, subject specific vocabulary and will use a variety of sources in lessons to develop their knowledge and skills as a historian.
I am Mrs Roberts. I am the Senior Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for children in KS1 and for the Quality of Education across school. This year I am teaching in class 7 in Year 2 with Mrs. Byrne for part of the week and I am also the Music Co-ordinator. I am a School Governor and a designated member of staff for Safeguarding.
Our Nursery Admission Policy is set by the school Governors and admission to the school Nursery is conducted by the Admission Committee of the Governing Body. This committee meets twice per year as required when the set criteria are applied to completed applications. Our Admission Policy for school is controlled centrally by the Local Authority at Bootle Town Hall.
It is our policy that all children should wear clothing that is in keeping with a purposeful learning ethos. We also believe it is important that certain activities are facilitated by specialised and appropriate clothing when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours.
