We are a small, dedicated, 36 place, family orientated day nursery who pride ourselves on having children at the heart of what we do. We offer childcare for children aged from birth to 5 years Monday to Friday 8am-6pm. We understand how magical the early years are for children and their families and because we know children learn best through play we look at every experience as an opportunity for learning.
We carefully plan our environment to meet the needs and interests of our children ensuring that each child has the best possible opportunities to develop self- confidence and independence, while making lasting friendships. To ensure we provide the best care for your children we are regulated by OFSTED and have received the highest possible grading of "OUTSTANDING" in all areas under the new 2018 framework.

Little Rainbows Day Nursery was created 11 years ago for my youngest daughter Grace, as a place where I could feel safe in the knowledge that she and other children would be cherished as individuals, well looked after, and would learn social, emotional and academic skills through play.
This year(2018) has been an incredible time for us and has seen us gain OUTSTANDING with OFSTED AND receive a national champions award through the National Day Nursery Association for our dedication for children and families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.The manager is dedicated and strives for excellence.

Little Rainbows is proud to be part of a national campaign to raise the standards of food in nurseries and schools that is organised by the children's food trust called "eat better start better" and have pledged to provide healthy, balanced nutritious food that is fun and appetising. All of our food is prepared fresh daily on site and special dietary requirements are catered for.
Little Rainbows aims to create an environment where all children in our care can attain their maximum potential emotionally, physically and mentally. Individual records of each child's achievements and a personal learning journey is developed and maintained by their key person. This will show their progress and identify next step milestones.
We understand that every child and family are different and we will work with you to ensure that both your child and family are happy and settled before you start. However, we suggest a start of 3 settle sessions of about an hour each. On the first session you will be able to play with your child for the entire session.
As an inclusive setting Little Rainbows welcomes enquiries for children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. In order to help you make the decision if our nursery is right for you and your child we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions. At Little Rainbows we are very experienced in identifying children with additional needs.
