St Francis De Sales Infants & Nursery School
We are very pleased to welcome you and your child to our Infant school. We hope that you will find this website interesting and informative and that it will give you some insight into life at our School. Our Infant School is an exciting place to be, full of outstanding children, enthusiastic, dedicated staff and lots of wonderful surprises!

We believe that Every Child Matters and learning at our school is fun and exciting, challenging and rewarding. We offer a warm and caring environment which enables children to feel safe and secure as they grow, learn and develop. The foundation of our success is happy children working hard in surroundings where they are valued and value others.
Services
The Governors at St Francis de Sales Catholic Infant and Nursery School have adopted 'A Journey in Love' as the scheme to teach Relationships and Sex Education across our school - an age and stage appropriate curriculum which is recommended by the Archdiocese.

Although, as a parent, you do have the right to withdraw your child from this aspect of the curriculum, the way RSE is taught during the formative years of education means that it is interwoven into other subjects such as PSHE.It is, therefore, difficult to remove children from their learning and it is not something that we would recommend.
Our school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting children's welfare and expects all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment and maintain a vigilant and safe environment. Everyone has a responsibility to act without delay to protect children by reporting anything that might suggest a child is being abused or neglected.
St Francis de Sales Catholic Infant and Nursery School recognises the clear link between the attendance, progress and attainment of pupils. Our aim is to encourage the highest possible levels of attendance and punctuality for pupils within our school to support learning and development. The importance of attendance and punctuality is underpinned by an awareness of safeguarding issues.

Report
My child (a foreign kid) was bullied, discriminated and suffered school phobia at this school and no appropriate actions were taken. We attempted to meet and talk to the head teacher, but excuses were always given. Feeling so disappointed, we put her out of school. I think the Ofsted report does not include any evaluation on racism and discrimination, that's why I chose it wrong.
