The P1/2 class in Richmount PS met their friends from St John's, Eglish PS for the first day of their Shared Education programme.

The P4/5 class along with Mr Clyde, Mrs Wilson and Mrs Heatrick, visited the RNLI Lifeboat Station in Newcastle as part of their work on Seas and Oceans.

It is the policy of the Board of Governors that the pupils of Richmount Primary School shall receive a broad and balanced curriculum which aims to:. The Pastoral Care dimension of the school deals with the physical and emotional needs of each individual child. The caring role of the teachers in the school is evident in all aspects of the child's school life.
In school we have designed a new noticeboard which will enable us to highlight achievement by pupils each month. This board allows us to celebrate the achievement by a pupil from each year group plus the after school club. Certificates are awarded during a full school assembly on the last Friday of each month.
RICHMOUNT Primary School is this year celebrating the 150th anniversary of the building and opening of the Old Richmount School. Records show that the Old School was first opened in 1849. The schoolhouse and residence was built on a four acre site approximately two smiles from Portadown on what was then the main Portadown - Moy Road.
