St Anthonys Primary School
At St. Anthony's Primary School we pride ourselves on providing a safe, happy and stimulating environment from Nursery level through to Primary 7. We strive to help our children grow in confidence and work purposefully to a realistically high standard, developing and achieving to the best of their individual abilities.

Here at St. Anthony's P.S. we enjoy a strong partnership between home and school, the church and the local community. We are proud of our good name, our high standards and the excellent pastoral care that exists within the school.
Services
St Anthony's is a happy, friendly and caring environment, where children feel secure and valued. We are committed to providing a full and enriched curriculum where children are encouraged to work to the best of their ability, to reach their full and true potential. We aim to deepen the spiritual and emotional needs of each child through our Catholic ethos and to develop an awareness and respect for all faiths in our community.
The school day for all children begins at 9.10am. Doors open at 8.55am and close at 9.10am. If children arrive after this time they will only be able to enter the school through the main door. P1, P2 and P3 classes finish at 2.00pm. These children must be brought to and collected from school by an adult at the designated classroom exits.
Your child may have access to Google classroom, if you are unsure how to access this here is a helpsheet. Newsdesk is a very useful tool for schools to develop children's fluency in reading, comprehension and writing skills. Children can also take a picture and upload it onto School Reporter section of the main Newsdesk site.
Good attendance and punctuality are essential for teaching and learning to take place. Children who are constantly late not only deprive themselves, but hinder the progress of others. Parents are asked to ensure their children are in class in good time to start lessons. If your child is going to be off for one or two days with a minor illness there is no need to ring the school office.
Tracksuit bottoms, jeans or leggings are not part of the school uniform and are unacceptable. Children who do not wear full uniform will be reminded of this rule and their parents will receive a note detailing our expectations regarding dress code. For hygiene reasons it is now compulsory that all P4 - P7 children wear a St Anthony's PE Kit.
