Autism NI have developed a great resource for all parents to prepare your child to go back to school. The pack includes top tips for returning to school, a social story, weekly planner and visual boards. I write to remind you that we plan to resume using the shared Cloakrooms in the new term rather than hang coats etc in each classroom on a rail.
This means that school bags will be required. Please keep an eye to the school website in late August for further updates and information regarding re-start routines. On Monday all of our Primary 4 children came to school as evacuees. They prepared name labels and identity cards and imagined what it would have been like for children in the 1940s.

Yesterday our nursery children enjoyed their last session of Forest School. The nursery boys and girls want to thank Brian from NIFSA for all the hard work he's done with us. Have a look through the attached presentation to see how the nursery boys and girls got on at Forest School. Our nursery boys and girls had another opportunity to get outside and enjoy Forest School.
It is with great pride that we brought the KS2 and KS3 pupils up onto the new Multi Use Games Area for some fun and games. We hope you agree with us in saying that its looking fantastic and is a real asset to our school. The sun was shining on us as we formed up and started to make our way down the main drive into the village where a great crowd of family and friends awaited us.
Fun Day 2014 at Waringstown Primary School proved a great success for all! The children enjoyed the wide variety of stations set up, such as nail painting, penalty kicks, hockey, cricket, face painting, etc. The weather was very kind and allowed all outdoor activities to take place in the morning. The children were treated with a World Cup Day Celebration Lunch before returning to their classrooms for more fun.
As Day 2 draws to a close, Primary 6 have had another fun filled and busy day at Shannaghmore. The weather has been kind to us this morning and we have continued our intrepid adventures here at Shannaghmore. Lots of smiling faces indicate everyone is enjoying their experience. Our evening activity was a very enjoyable and dark beach walk!
St Paul's Cathedral was our next stop for a whistle stop tour around the nave spotting many of the interesting and varied architectural features of this iconic symbol of London. After lunch we were straight to the London Eye before heading back for an early evening meal. As you can see the children have all done you proud and look a million dollars as we 'hit the town.'

I used to go to Waringstown Primary School
I loved it there, the teachers are wonderful, they teach you many things and when I did my AQE I got 119/130.
I got into Friends School Lisburn, itโs a grammar school in Lisburn
It was thanks to Waringstown Primary School that I got in, so thank you to all the staff at Waringstown ๐
