Interested in learning yoga, barre or Pilates? Come and try our classes. Since 2008 we've been teaching yoga, Pilates and mindfulness from our peaceful fully equipped studio just outside the beautiful village of Stockbridge. Our classes are small and the studio is exclusively used by us, with free parking outside.
All our instructors are highly qualified and dedicated to what they do. Between us, we have more than 50 years of teaching experience. With a variety of different styles of yoga, barre fitness, Pilates, 1:1 sessions and specialist workshops there's something for everyone, whatever age or level of fitness.

Services
We have Yoga classes every morning Monday - Saturday and evenings Monday - Thursday. Pilates is on Thursdays. Workshops and Masterclasses are on Fridays and at the weekends, with a Crystal bowl sound bath once a month on a Sunday. Yes we do. Hatha Yoga and Gentle Yoga on Tuesday mornings are hybrid classes which take place at the Studio but are also live-streamed.
Yoga is not just physical exercise - the Sanskrit word yoga means union or integration: of the body, breath, mind and spirit. The practice of asana (physical postures) together with pranayama (breathing techniques) and relaxation or meditation combines to create a sense of wellbeing, physical harmony, mental clarity and self-awareness.
Pilates is an exercise system accessible to everybody regardless of age or fitness level, including those recovering from injury. The movements are designed to stretch and strengthen the whole body, improving posture, balance, flexibility and mobility. It was developed by German-born Joseph Pilates around a hundred years ago and influenced by yoga, martial arts and Western forms of exercise.
Barre classes blend the grace and elegance of ballet with the alignment and flow of yoga to improve strength, posture, muscle tone, balance and stability. It's a great way to to strengthen, tone, support injury and burn fat. A typical class usually starts in the centre of the room for a full body warm up to music.

Tamsin is an excellent and experienced teacher with small classes in a beautiful, simple studio. Her classes embrace different aspects of yoga such as pranayama and meditation as well as asanas and she explains and guides them in a way that everyone can follow. I thoroughly recommend them.

I’ve been practising yoga for eight years but only recently joined Tamsin. I would thoroughly recommend her classes! Care is taken to warm up before more strenuous postures and alternatives are always given so that different needs and abilities are catered for. Tamsin also takes time to explain the reasons behind breath work as it becomes an integral part of the class. Most of all the classes are fun and I’m looking forward to next term when we will also be thinking about the mental benefits of yoga.

I have attended Tamsin's Yoga classes for a number of years and her teaching approach is fantastic. The setting of the classes is so relaxing and quiet and allows you to focus entirely on your yoga practice. Tamsin also adapted her teaching methods specifically for me during my pregnancy so I could attend up to 39 weeks! ( I think it also contributed to a calmer labour!) I would thoroughly recommend the studio and indeed Tamsin's classes to anyone.

I have been going to Tamsin's yoga classes at Studio Yoga for a little over a year now. I always enjoy the class and come away feeling calmed and energised all at once. Tamsin has a very gentle and clear way of explaining both the purpose and details of poses and movement, and has the breath at the heart of every class. I started as a total newcomer to yoga, and yet have never felt out of place, or out of my depth. I can highly recommend Tamsin's classes!
