The Childrens Workshop
We are a friendly preschool for children aged 2-5 based in a brand new purpose-built building, situated in the beautiful woodland at the edge of Knole Park. We work together, children, staff, parents, carers and the wider community to ensure our children learn and have FUN in a nurturing environment that allows them to EXPLORE the world they live in and build happy friendships and memories.

This aims to be an interactive website and useful links can be found throughout our pages. We hope you enjoy it!
Services
At The Children's Workshop Preschool we believe all children have an innate desire to learn and explore and that each child is a special individual. At our preschool we work together, children, staff, parents, carers and the wider community to ensure ALL children learn and have FUN in a safe, nurturing environment that supports them to develop their individual potential whilst building HAPPY FRIENDSHIPS and MEMORIES.
Under the leadership of Yvonne Roberts as Chair and Joan Hatton as Secretary that marks the start of The Children's Workshop story.

From the outset, the aims of The Children's Workshop were "to advance the education of children below compulsory school age by (a) providing safe and satisfying group play, in which parents have the right to take part; (b) encouraging other charitable activities through which parents may help the children; (c) furthering the aims of the Pre-school Playgroups Association".
Set in the heart of Sevenoaks, surrounded by nature The Children's Workshop seeks to offer a rich outdoor learning environment whereby all children can develop their innate abilities in assessing risks and undertake manageable challenges. This sort of environment aims to foster children's resilience, sense of self and appreciation of the surrounding environment.
In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality and address the urgency of climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.
We believe that every child brings his/her own understanding and skills to the setting to enrich its tapestry. Upon these principles, we work together with the families and specialist advisory teams (where necessary) to support all children reach their full potential whilst in our setting and within the best of our abilities.

What a difference a few terms makes! To see my little one happily stroll in each morning, without even looking back to say goodbye, is testimony to your hard work, loving care and continual support. Thank you so much! 🙂 x

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all of the team at the CW. I know how much hard work goes into every week to make each one a new/exciting and challenging one for our children.
This week has been my sons… favourite, he has come out of pre school and has not stopped talking about the adventures he has been on with his “friends”
The library trip was amazing as my son adores books and even told Cat off by asking her to “talk quietly”!!
The building site trip was a dream come true for him. He was so happy he went on a digger and a roller and happily told me they
