On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, I am proud to welcome you to Newburgh Primary School. At Newburgh, our commitment is to create a caring and supportive school where every child matters. We work hard to develop an atmosphere where children are healthy, happy, safe and secure and where all are valued and respected.
We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded curriculum: including music, drama and sport teaching where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured. Newburgh also has well-resourced outdoor learning facilities, which enable us to embed skills across the curriculum and deliver the Forest Schools Programme.

Services
Newburgh Primary School is a thriving two form entry school. Situated on the South West approach to Warwick, Newburgh is within walking distance of the Chase Meadow housing development and a stone's throw from the racecourse. We are also fortunate to be very close to the historic Warwick Castle. Newburgh has undergone a period of rapid growth, with numbers of children in our school doubling.
Children arrive on the playground no earlier than 8.45 am for an 8.55 am start. Teachers are on duty from 8.45 am and children are able to enter school immediately upon arrival. Children in Reception and Key Stage 1 have the opportunity to eat a selection of free fresh fruit or vegetables and a drink of milk, for which there is a small charge.
Prescription medicines - Any prescription medicine to be administered during the school day must be supplied to us in the original pharmacist's container and be accompanied by a 'Consent for the administration of PRESCRIBED medication in school' form which is available from the school office. National guidance encourages GP's and other prescribers to use medicines which can be taken outside school hours.
Your child is able to have milk at school everyday. If you would like your child to receive milk you will need to contact Cool Milk to arrange this. Full details about how you can do this are below. If you register before 5pm on a Tuesday, your child will start receiving milk from the following week.
Did you know, that if your child qualifies for Free School Meals, your school receives an additional 1320 every year? In the current school year, your school has been able to claim almost 85,000 which is a significant sum indeed. If you visit the Key Information section you will be able to see how we have spent this money over the past school year.
