Thanks to a Government Healthy Pupils grant and a genertous donation from FOSS, we suprised the children on Monday with a Pop-up Smoothie Bar in the playgound. It was a scorcher on Tuesday, but despite the fierce heat the children had a great time and many great feats of sporting glory were on display!
Another month has passed and I can scarcely believe it. We are always so busy in school that the time appears to fly by in a whirl. I am saddened that I have been here for over two months and still met so few of you face to face. The time will come, I know, when we can welcome you back into school and I will get to know you, and you me, but sadly it will not be before the summer holidays.

We are at the heart of Snitterfield, a beautiful village near Stratford-upon-Avon, in Warwickshire. Records show that there has been a school in the village since as long ago as 1682. We are very proud of our school's heritage and equally proud to be part of such a vibrant local community. The school has around 100 pupils on roll, taught in four classes.
We want all our children to leave Snitterfield as curious, inspired young people who have a sense of their own self-worth and are able to contribute positively to society. Curiosity: We aim to stimulate a life-long love of learning in our children through a rich, diverse and exciting curriculum. By giving our children the confidence and skills needed for their future we support children to become resilient young people.
We are a body of people comprising parents, staff and members of the local community. Our role is to support the strategic leadership of the school and monitor every aspect of school life to ensure that we are offering the very best experience and opportunities for the children in our care.
Working on a voluntary basis, we meet monthly (our meeting minutes are available to parents) and governors are encouraged to visit the school during the day to spend time in the classrooms. These visits are planned in advance term by term, and are linked to the School Improvement Plan so that governors can focus on specific issues that will feed into the plan.

As a Community primary school within Warwickshire Local Authority we follow the Warwickshire Admissions Policy. We are an inclusive school that welcomes children from all backgrounds and abilities. The only restriction we place on entry is that of number.
If the number of children applying for entry exceeds the places available, we enforce the procedure set out in the Warwickshire Admissions policy in order to determine whether a child is accepted or not.It is our wish to allow parents the right to have a place at the school of their choice. However, this is not always possible, due to the excess demand on the school places available.

We are very proud of our School Council. They meet regularly, helped by Miss Barnett, to decide on important matters such as which charities the School is going to support and which events they would like to run. This term The School Council was able to meet face to face, albeit socially distanced, for the first time this year.
