We are primary school specialists working together to provide high quality professional development, training and support which enhances teaching and learning. Services
On behalf of the children, staff and governors of Claverdon Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our website. We are located in the village of Claverdon, surrounded by open countryside. We have approximately 200 enthusiastic learners on roll organised into 7 classes and 4 houses. Our houses are named after surrounding areas: Kington, Holywell, Gannaway and Yarningale.
From time to time we are made aware of incidents where children are unkind to each other and sometimes this extends to bullying. Our school always takes any accusations of bullying very seriously. We tell children that they should always report bullying to adults in school as well as telling their parents or carers.
Upholding the basic principles of inclusion, equality and community cohesion is the aim of the whole school community at Claverdon Primary School. These principles are linked to the vision of the school and our core values and should be reflected both in our strategic and day to day work. This policy sets out the school's approach to promoting inclusion, equality of opportunity and community cohesion.
On the Governing Board there are people representing different groups such as parents, teachers and members of the local community. The overall purpose of the Governing Board is to help Claverdon Primary School provide the best possible education for its pupils, in order to develop every child's full potential.
Claverdon Primary School is committed to supporting the training of new teachers coming in to the profession. As the LEAD SCHOOL for the Gateway Alliance, and in partnership with the University of Warwick, we provide placements and training opportunities for those training to teach. Working in partnership with the Gateway Alliance and the University of Warwick we provide placements and training opportunities for those training to teach.
