Stepping Stones Nursery
At our nurseries we want to make you, and most importantly your child feel loved and cared for, safe and secure. We understand that your child is the most important person in your life and we consider it a privilege to look after them. Our overall aim is to provide the best possible care whilst engaging and stimulating your child with fun filled and creative activities.

Each of our nurseries and out-of-school clubs encourage children to take part in all activities, both indoors and outdoors. We have fantastic outdoor areas which the children are encouraged to explore in all weathers and seasons, thus enriching their experience and learning further.
Services
These childcare facilities are part of Lincolnshire Childcare Group which was founded in 1989 by Diane Smith B.Ed.(Hons), MA and the late Susan Jenkins B.A.(Hons), PGCE, both qualified teachers with a wealth of experience in child development and a commitment to providing high quality childcare.

They believe that to provide a caring and stimulating environment staff need to be well trained and qualified, and this ethos is reflected in all of our provisions. Our practitioners are highly motivated and passionate about childcare. They are supported by the Area Manager, Rita McMath B.A. (Hons) who is qualified as an Early Years Professional, and the Senior Manager, Nicola George B.A. who is qualified as an Early Years Teacher.
Stepping Stones Day Nursery & Pre-School provides a fun, loving and stimulating place for children to spend time in. It has 3 separate rooms - The Owl Room for babies up to 24 months, The Hedgehog Room for toddlers from 2 to 3 years and The Squirrel Room which is our Pre-School Learning Centre for children aged 3 to 5 years.
We cater for school children up to 11 years old from The National Primary School, Little Gonerby Primary School and St Mary's Primary School during term time, and from any school during school holidays. Our Club House is a loving, safe and warm environment for children to be in for holiday care, where they can take part in fun-filled activities.
Our Club House is a loving, safe and warm environment for children to be in for holiday care, where they can take part in fun-filled activities. We cater for school aged children up to 11 years old. In the Club House the children have access to a full range of craft and art equipment, board games and computer games.
The Early Years Foundation Stage Framework is the guidance that all Early Years professionals use to support children from Birth to age 5. It sets out the legal welfare requirements that we have to fulfil to ensure children's safety and well-being, and the learning and development requirements that guide our planning, observations and assessments for all children.

So it's been a little over a year since my youngest started here and how I wish I'd taken my eldest here too! Amazing, friendly and downright lovely staff: nothing is too much trouble. My boy adores it here, I have no qualms whatsoever leaving him here as its like leaving him with family. He adores "his" ladies ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Headstart! I shall be absolutely gutted next year when we leave you for primary school xx

Our son has been attending this nursery for two years now and the speed of his development, from speech and behaviour through to skills and attitude, has been absolutely amazing, we are so pleased and happy… with Head Start in Bourne.
The staff are friendly, professional and it shows in their methods that they love what they do. Jackson is sometimes shy when spending time with people but every day he runs through the door when we arrive and often forgets to even give us a kiss goodbye as he wants to get right into things!
With the ever-growing need for child care we are confident we have
