A beautiful Montessori Nursery School & Tutorial Centre in rural Nottinghamshire - situated in the historic village of Staunton in the Vale, Vale of Belvoir, Nottingham, UK. Just wanted to drop you a line to say a massive thank you for providing E. with a truly magical nursery experience. You are very lucky to have such wonderful staff who really work hard at making everyday special for the children.
Here we feature additional information and interesting articles which have appeared in the local and national press. Staff and children at Staunton Montessori Nursery near Long Bennington are celebrating an "outstanding" grade from Ofsted. Headteacher Robert Staunton said: "We have never read such high praise as this in an Ofsted report so we are naturally thrilled."
Some accounts argue that there have been Stauntons at Staunton since before the Norman Conquest, making them the oldest, or one of the oldest, families in the UK. Through thick and thin for nearly 1,000 years, they have held on, even when Colonel William Staunton was fined more than 800 for taking arms against Parliament during the Civil War and returned home to find a devastated house and a much reduced estate.'
Her son, Ed Stoppard, co-star of the Roman Polanski's The Pianist, also attended the event. The Montessori School moved into beautifully renovated 19th century barns on the historic family estate, belonging to the Stauntons of Staunton who are reputed to be the oldest family in England. Anyway - how did a crumbling cattle shed become 'the ultimate learning environment'?
The opening event was attended by many local parents and dignitaries and included inauguration speeches and presentations, with drama by the children. Champagne and canaps followed. The Opening Event took place in the charming and historic village of Staunton-in-the Vale, home to the Staunton family since the 11th century.

Eveything about this place is amazing ! What a wonderful starting point for my little girl to learn and grow! Lily is only in Little Green Apples so we have lots of lovely years ahead of us but we cannot recommend such an incredible start for a child . From the location, the outdoor area to the staff ! Just wow ! Thank you ❤️
