Services
At Balderton Village Day Nursery we understand the importance of a good educational programme which provides a range of interesting and challenging experiences. Our practitioners have a secure knowledge and understanding of how children learn through play and adult interaction.
We use useful starting points gathered from parents about care and learning when a child starts at the nursery, this then allows us to plot baseline assessments following an educational programme 'The Early Years Foundation Stage'.This comprises of 3 Characteristics of Effective Learning - Playing and Exploring, Active Learning and Creating and Thinking Critically.

We have two practitioners who have Level 5, Six have Level 3 and our new apprentice is training to a level 2. All staff have First Aid Paediatric certificates, training in Safeguarding, Food Hygiene & training on Allergens. But they are not only professionally qualified, committed and knowledgeable, but friendly, caring and enthusiastic too!

Children at Balderton Village Day Nursery are now taking care of some little chicks that they have incubated for the last 3 weeks. The children have had the responsibility of checking the incubator for water and to make sure that it is still turning.

Great Nursery, the girls really are passionate about the children's development. All through lockdowns they have had my daughter and provided an excellent service even gone above and beyond to help 2 emergency service workers with childcare. Without this nursery and their flexibility we couldn't do our jobs, they are the unsung heroes and deserve a lot of credit. I fully recommend this Nursery if you are thinking of sending your child. My daughter has and is developing extremely well and not once refused to go or been scared, she loves it.
