Beacon Lane Day Nursery
We are following Government guidelines at our nursery and are working hard to keep our children and staff safe. Our children work in 'bubbles' and, whenever possible, they will be learning outside within their 'bubble'. We accept 3/4 year-old children who are eligible for the new 30 or 24 hours of Government Funding.

We hope to give you a flavour of what the nursery is about, but you can only appreciate the 'real deal' by spending time in our nursery. Once you have looked through our website, we would encourage you to contact us and make an appointment to visit our nursery. Your child will settle in more easily in our home-from-home environment, and our huge outdoor learning area gives your child first-hand contact with weather, seasons and the natural world.
Services
We are a family run business from Newark. The new management team consists of Gillian Watson, David Watson, Susan Watson and Alison Thomas. As a family we have lots of experience in working with children and want to bring that experience to Beacon Lane Day Nursery and make it the best in Grantham - our intention is to provide a premium service and to enable all the children to get the best possible start.
We aim to get back to you within 24 hours. We accept payment by standing order and online/telephone banking, and payment is by regular monthly payments that are worked out on a termly/yearly basis. We accept payment through the Government's 12, 15, 24 and 30 hours per week funded places scheme for 3 and 4 year olds.
You are encouraged to visit the nursery during our working day, have a look round and talk with the staff. You and your child can use free 'taster sessions' to help you both settle in to the surroundings. We operate an 'open house' policy - if you are not not sure or are concerned about anything please talk to a member of staff.
Children have access to beautiful indoor and outdoor environments all day long and all year round. They have long periods of time when they can learn both inside and outside through structured and independent play. At all times they children are carefully observed by our staff. We ensure that the environments the children play in are well planned, organised and resourced with clean high quality resources to promote high quality engagement.
If you get Tax-Free Childcare, the government will pay 2 for every 8 you pay your childcare provider via an online account. You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 30 hours free childcare if you're eligible for both. This earnings limit does not apply if you're self-employed and started your business less than 12 months ago.

Our son started for the first time in Feb 2020, and since then he has had the BEST experience! Gosh, we can't list everything they have done with him, but this place is seriously a hidden gem and here are a few examples why you may want your child to attend:
1. Lots of settling in time and reassurance from the friendly staff.
2. Loads of messy play! The kind you don't want to do in your own home, these guys absolutely specialise in and the kids LOVE it!
3. They are members of Tapestry so you have some adorable moments captured of their day and also receive regular updates.
4. They have key

I would recommend this nursery to anyone. My two daughters started in baby room and progressed throughout the nursery until school. Both loved every minute of their time at nursery.
My youngest is currently in baby room and has settled really well, the staff are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble.

My little boy started here just after his 1st Birthday. He absouletly loves going and has bonded with all the staff beautifully. The staff make any new mum leaving their child for the first time that little bit better easier with sending pictures through tapestry so you can see your child having lots of fun throughout the day at nursery.
His development since starting nursery has gone from strength to strength and it's all down to the hard work of all the girls at nursery.

My son loves it at the nursery, he settled so well in the baby room and has now moved to the toddler room where he has come on in leaps and bounds. The staff are all so friendly and will do anything to help. The garden is wonderful and my son loves exploring the different areas.
