If your pet needs veterinary attention outside of our normal working hours, you will quite rightly still want to receive the same professional and prompt attention that you get from your own vet during the day. We are a modern companion animal practice with 3 centres in Farnborough, Fleet and Sandhurst.

We have had a surgery in Fleet since the middle of the last century. It was originally in Glen Road but was moved to Courtmoor Avenue in 1993, originally in the garage attached to the house but subsequently moved into the house itself. The house was extended at the same time to provide enough space for a self contained, hospital based practice.
The surgery in Sandhurst was opened in 1986. Sandhurst was a new venture for the practice as we had no existing client base in the area. In the early days the surgery was run by Mark Evans, he of television fame. In those days it was not unusual for the surgeries to overrun by several hours as he did like to chat! Jayne Fisher has run the surgery since the early '90s.
I doubt there are many of you who remember the heady days of Burkitt and Hampshire working out of the old Victorian building on the site of our Cove hospital in the 1950s and 60s but here lie the origins of the Ashworth Veterinary Group. Fred Hampshire remained as senior partner until the mid 1980s and was joined in partnership by Alan Wynde, Ian Nichols and in 1981 by David Ashworth.

I've been with Ashworth for over 40 years since I was a child with my first pet and I wouldn't use any other vets.
Everyone works together as an amazing team and they're outstanding. Jayne is an incredible vet and I trust her 100% with my cat and I always have. She explains everything very clearly, never rushes and together, we decide on the best treatment/plan. She genuinely cares about Sonar and that shows and matters to me.
The reception team are the best, such a fantastic team of kind and caring ladies. Always helpful, always cheerful despite being very busy. Nothing is ever too much trouble

No overnight care, which meant having to take our cat to this vet, then collect and take half an hour away for overnight, then back to this vet again in the morning, with another pick-up, transfer, drop off this evening and again tomorrow morning; not conducive to a happy pet, especially when they aren’t feeling their best already. It would be better for the vet to say ‘your pet needs care for 48 hours, we can’t take them for the entire duration, so take them to this place for the full duration’; better and less stressful for the animal. If you don’t have the capacity to offer full service

I have a rescue dog with a lot of issues both health and behavioural! Pepsi usually gets to see her favourite vet Katie. Katie always answers all my questions and is so kind and caring. Katie and the others at Ashworth saved little Pepsis life last year after she had been sneakily scavenging on walks and needed emergency surgery to remove a blockage. They are great at dealing with Pepsis behaviours and I trust them completely even though she can be a handful. I am very sad that we are moving out of the area soon and will have to find a new vets 😔 but a massive thank you to everyone at Ashworth
