Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital
Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital has been providing veterinary services for Chipping Norton and the surrounding areas of Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire for over 60 years. In 1976 we were one of the first practices in the UK to be awarded the prestigious Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons RCVS 'Hospital status' (now called Tier 3).

We are proud to provide veterinary care of the highest standard for all species. Our staff are all highly motivated and well trained to provide you and your pet with a caring, efficient and highly professional service. We are a RCVS registered veterinary nurse training practice and we are affiliated with the University of Bristol Veterinary School to provide extra-mural study (EMS) experience for veterinary students.
Services
As well as providing top-flight veterinary care for dogs, cats, rabbits and the other usual pet species, we care for an unusually wide variety of species. We provide veterinary services for the game-bird industry, falconry birds, backyard poultry, zoos and exotic pets such as monkeys, parrots, reptiles, fish and invertebrates.
We provide up-to-date clinical facilities and aim to combine high-quality medical and surgical care with the compassion and friendliness of a local, privately-owned practice. The vets and nurses at Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital regularly attend lectures, seminars and other continuing professional development sessions to ensure that the quality of care we provide is always at the cutting edge.
At Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital we believe that it is important to not just treat the cases we see, but to add what we learn when doing so to the veterinary knowledge base so that it can be of use to other vets and their patients. For that reason, when we see rare or unusual cases we do our best to present them at veterinary conferences or publish them as case reports in veterinary journals.
Our purpose-built veterinary hospital and boarding cattery are located on the Northern edge of Chipping Norton on the A361 Banbury Road, opposite the Aldi supermarket. Chipping Norton is on the intersection of the A361 Swindon to Banbury road and the A44 Oxford to Evesham road. The hospital has two storeys with the clinical areas all downstairs and the administration and accommodation for staff on out-of-hours duty upstairs.
As a traditional rural mixed practice we have been providing veterinary services for the common pets, farm animals and horses for decades. Yet we also have the expertise and facilities to provide veterinary care for a wide variety of other animals including game birds, camelids, falconry birds, zoo animals and exotic pets such as reptiles, cage and aviary birds, primates and small-mammal pet species.

Nothing is too much trouble for this practice. I have a musk turtle and these guys are the only ones I feel confident enough to use. Nathalie is amazing. Her knowledge and experience means that I know that I am doing the absolute best.
Really positive and friendly experience right from the initial phone call.

The hospital is very cat and dog friendly with separate seating areas. The vets are every bit as helpful as you could want them to be

What an amazing bunch of people. Unfortunately we lost our Bearded Dragon to liver disease after a week with Chipping Norton Vets, but they phoned once and sometimes even twice a day with updates and the information given and the way it was delivered was so nice. We felt they genuinely tried everything to save our pet even against all odds. Very highly recomended.

Well run and clean practice with good value for money and particularly helpful reception and veterinary staff.
Nathalie in particular was very helpful, informative and took the time to answer my questions and talk through the care of my cockatiel Chip. Friendly and very good with Chip too. Would highly recommend to fellow bird owners in the area and will make sure to use them for follow ups and routine check ups.

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness
Well....Rodney is still with us & he is now back to being the cheeky cat we so adore. Thank you for the professional, caring service you provided when he was such a sick cat. Fingers crossed ...we cherish each day with him even more now. Highly recommend.
